Motorola Motorola HS830 Bluetooth Pendant Headset

This is my first bluetooth earpiece so I don't know if the lack of audio clarity is intrinsic to this or to all bluetooth devices. I use it in my left ear although when one does this the "pendant" is flipped over which doesn't affect me in the...

Easy to setup, no large device on you ear.

Audio quality not the best--certainly not as good as any of the wired sets that I commonly use.

Motorola Motorola HS830 Bluetooth Pendant Headset

I use this with a Treo and it is is a great alternative to over the ear products. At first I thought this form is not really different from a wired headset but it really is because you're not tied to bulk of phone. Because it hangs around your neck, it...

Light weight and un-obtrusive. Easy to place and remove earpiece. Clear sound. I don't look like a cyborg with blinking light attached to my head.

Product Specifications

Designed for motorcycle riders who want to stay in touch on and off their bike, the model HS830 helmet headset provides clear, crisp connectivity at a pit stop or on the open road. Mounting the helmet adapter - consisting of the speaker, microphone and cover - to a full-faced or open-faced helmet is easy using the included strong 3M adhesive. The unique headset module then slips inside the cover on the helmet so that riders can leave mobile phones in a pocket or backpack up to 10 meters (30 feet) away and still make or receive calls. And with up to five hours of talk time and 100 hours of standby time from a single charge, your headset won't run out of juice until you do. The Motorola Wireless Helmet Headset HS830 is Bluetooth 1.2 compliant, supporting quicker connections, better audio quality, adaptive frequency hopping and backwards compatibility with Bluetooth 1.1 devices. For rough riding, the Motorola wireless helmet headset is manufactured with a noise-reducing microphone to help minimize traffic and wind noise when riding at highway speed, as well as a cover designed to withstand whatever nature throws at you. Additionally, a rider-passenger switch allows seamless headset-to-headset communication while on the move.
