We wouldn't have ranked the .Audio 655 Stereo Headset so high if we didn't think it was a stellar product. The only difference between this VoIP USB headset and the .Audio 955 is the wireless capabilities. This small difference results in a $50 price...

This headset is Skype-certified, has a rotate-to-mute mic and built-in audio adjustments

Unfortunately, this headset isn’t wireless

Except for the cord, Plantronics’ .Audio 655 has all of the features of our top VoIP headsets.

Gread sound, but this is not true Circumaural

I purchased those only because of the keyword "Circumaural", however this is not exactly true. Those are bigger than my other headsets but still not covering ears and going over them making a pain after some time.

Nice sound ; Volume control on a headset

Too small, probably it is circumaural for kids ; Mic is muted only when boom is lifted up (and you, basically not exactly sure about that). Would be nice to have a mute button and some indication ; 1 egg because a product doesn't correspond it's title

voice stuck in my own head

all in all. not for me, I am a gamer who wears headphones ALL THE TIME, I would sooner go insane from the sound of my voice inside my head then anything else. for some people, these would be perfect. not for me though

Not for Windows 7 x64

I tried all the different USB ports I have (6 total) and all were the same. I even followed Microsoft's guide for fixing crackle and still found no difference. Again just very surprised and disappointed a 2010 product isn't x64 compatible.

Was surprised at quality of sound for the price I paid. Reasonably comfortable for a headset this price range too

Compatibility reads only as "Macintosh and Windows compatible USB Plug N Play". This is sadly not true. After doing some digging I have found that this headset is NOT compatible with Windows 7 x64. There is nearly constant crackling/static in the line....

I'll be getting my third headset of this series. got my first pair 5/09, they died and I got my second pair 1/11. My second pair just recently died 2/12, and I've already got a third pair coming in the mail. the reason they die is always the same, some...

excellent quality for the price ; lifespan of 1-1.5 years

very uncomfortable over long periods of time until the foam padding gets a little used. This takes a couple weeks at least ; mic only goes one way, you cannot bend it in either direction

easy setup and comfortable

plug and play, that easy. Has a built in mute feature when you raise the talk arm. Plenty of volume and comfortable to wear for hours (fairly light). Overall, i'd buy another set if this one goes out.
