Plantronics M55

Good call quality. Long battery life. Comfortable. Stylish

A2DP lacks bass

The Plantronics M55 is sleek and small, with great battery life and good call quality—it's the best budget Bluetooth headset we've tested to date.

Plantronics M55 Bluetooth Headset review: Plantronics M55 Bluetooth Headset

Even with the rising popularity of smartphones that boast impressive stereo audio and complex data-intensive functions, sometimes you just want to make a simple call. For those who chat on the go often, not having to clutch a handset while talking is...

The Plantronics M55 Bluetooth earpiece is compact, attractively styled, and affordable. It offers basic voice prompts and vocal commands. A DeepSleep function promises to preserve battery life when shelved.

Call quality suffers when outdoors. The M55 also only comes with one earbud size.

Low-priced and extremely small, the $49 Plantronics M55 is a discreet and stylish budget earpiece, but there are better options for noisy outdoor environments.

Plantronics M55 Bluetooth Headset Review

We've got a brand new Bluetooth earpiece on the review bench today by the name of Plantronics M55, ladies and gentlemen, and this little beast is rather well put together. This is one of many reviews we've done of Plantronics Bluetooth devices , this...

Plantronics M55 review

Have any corners been cut in Plantronics' budget headset?

Great price ; Very good sound quality ; Comfortable to wear ; DeepSleep works well

Not the most stylish design ; Some social media features only work in the US

Hands-free Communication : Plantronics M55 Bluettoth headset

Adding to its range of Bluetooth headsets, Plantronics has developed its M55 model.

With its company name indicating its original roots in the aeronautical electronics field of business, Plantronics has released a new Bluetooth headset featuring DeepSleep technology. This is the M55™ model that has a claimed DeepSleep mode that lets...

Affordable and reliable hands free option

I bought this on sale. I cannot remember what I paid, but in my opinion it should be moderately priced as it is definitely better than "cheap" but not quite as good as "deluxe."

I bought this to keep in my car which doesn't have built in bluetooth to carry on hands free conversations on the road. I probably only use it once a week, but only need to charge it every 2 months or so. It has good sound quality and is easy to use....

Not comfortable to just walk around with it in your ear for too long so not something you would want to just wear around. Also not incredibly attractive or fashionable to walk around with one of these nowadays although it doesn't flash and glow like a...

good, but failed to convince

I so much wanted to like this one. Perhaps there are too many features, perhaps this is a knock-off that does not work as well as the original, but whatever it is, I can no longer tolerate the inconsistency. I will either replace with another style, or...

Lightweight, connects to two phones easily, audio is clear

connections are confusing, phone 1 and phone 2 get swapped, sometimes media audio works, sometimes not. Connecting calls takes so long I hit the button twice, and it disconnects. I sneezed and it called, the button is just too easy to hit. The connect...

Accidental Dials & Hangups Galore

This Bluetooth gets good reception and those being called have no complaints about the sound quality but this unit has one major problem

Unlike the M155 that had a recessed answer button that made it very difficult to accidentally activate, the M55 has a button integrated into the top half of the outer wall that makes it extremely easy to push in, causing accidental dials and...
