Review: Razer BlackShark gaming headset

Razer military-style gaming headset

Very clear sound ; Strong construction ; Distinctive style

Heavy weight ; Microphone lacks sensitivity

When gamers want more from their experience, they typically go one of two directions. Those wanting to improve their chances will go for high-end equipment in the hope that it will help them react faster than their opponents, usually through gaming k

Solid headset

Snagged these badboys off Refurb for 39.99!

Sound amazing. Downloaded Razer Synapse for Naga mouse and found that there is also software for the headset! the software has so many options to customize your sound and also includes surround sound customization ; Razer Synapse Surround Pro lets you...

If I don't have it sitting correctly on my head, the headset will push on my "Antihelical fold"(had to look that up)AKA the outer hard part of ear, and after an hour or two it will start to hurt. Maybe i just have weird dumbo ears ; If the mic is...

RAZER BlackShark

a pretty good headset, but not at this price.

I love the detachable microphone ; comfortable for long sessions ; decent sound quality (I have since started using audiophile headphones) ; The bright green accent of the wire is super cool ; rigid, solid build

Shortest lived headset I've ever owned. (the microphone started crackling out after about 6 months.) ; The extension with the splitter for separate audio/mic jacks kept popping off during games

For this price you cannot lose!

All in all I would say that this is a great headset, other then the bias to the bass and the compatibility with the PS4 controller, I am completely satisfied with this product.

The cuffs on this headset seal very well around your ears, the material of the head strap is very comfortable, and after hours of continual use, it still felt great, the mic/headset adapter can be removed and works great with Android devices

This headset is very overbearing in the lower frequencies, It is very bass heavy, and although that may be good for kids playing games the really feel the explosions, I found I had to EQ this headset to get a more flat response out of them, the 4...

Excellent Buy

Excellent condition-Like New. sound quality is excellent with Bass sounds that are decent and not over powering. Couple these with the Razers surround sound download (at aditional cost) and get decent gaming sound

No sound out of the Right side no matter what cords i use. I thought it might have just been the little split cord for the mic but no the headphones are garbage

Looks brand new!

Fast shipping as always. Perfect shape. All items in box. Sounds great so far. Tested on Borderlands 2 and Galaxy S3 playing Dire Straits Money for Nothing. VERY comfortable. Solid feel. Groovy retro style. Just call me Murdock

Reviews were correct on some of the mid level bass sounding muddy. I'll try tweaking some levels. Also, audio quality totally helped bring out a better average of what these headphones can produce

Referb? Who knows

Look and seem new. Explosions in game are pretty epic !!! Thanks again Newegg!

50 Bucks. Excellent build quality. Excellent sound. Some noise cancelling

Cord could be a little longer and/or have a volume control but no real biggie
