Sennheiser RS 160 wireless headphones

Superb quality over wireless as never experienced before.

Great quality when compared to other wireless headphone brands. Extremely comfortable fit for almost everyone

A little low on the bass thump. The volume controls can be a little hard to use

If you used to hate wireless headphones because they could never offer the quality of a wired headset, the Sennheiser RS 160 has been built for you. Within a range of 20m, this headphone will give superb audio quality to rival the best corded...

Best wireless headphones for home theater

Reviewers say that the new Sennheiser RS 160 headphones are the best home-theater wireless model for the price. They use new Kleer wireless technology to stream lossless, CD-quality audio without interference. Their on-the-ear design features thick...

Very good sound quality, comfortable for extended use, excellent reception, good range

Hard-to-reach controls, uneven bass performance, expensive

Looking for wireless cans?

Great sounding audio, comfort, build quality, portability options

Sennheiser RS 160 review

The Sennheiser RS 160s may be rather pricey, and they lack some of the fancy features of similarly priced rivals, but they deliver simply gorgeous sound quality

Great sound quality ; Long wireless range ; Good battery life ; Comfortable to wear

Volume control is rather fiddly ; No wired option

The cans are also very comfortable to wear, as they're relatively light and can be easily adjusted to fit pretty much any size of noggin. As with most over-the-ear cans, however, your ears tend to get rather warm with prolonged wear

A good pair of wireless headphones, but comes at a price.

Comfortable ; Battery life ; range ; output

Price ; Boomy at high volume ; small audio wire

Sennheiser RS 160 wireless headphones

A bit pricey, but these wireless headphones are genuinely good enough to replace a conventional set of wired headphones.

Pairing the headphones to the transmitter was very easy – they both automatically go into ‘enrolment’ mode when they're turned on and we were listening to our music within seconds of inserting the batteries

The clever chaps at Sennheiser have been at it again, this time coming up with a pair of chunky cans that ditch the cables and enclose your lugholes in glorious noise-cancelling sonic luxury. And with the price tag of £130 sounding pretty good to our...

Aside from the obvious appeal of going wire-free, the RS160s has a bunch of other clever features that really impressed us. Setup is a doddle: plug the wireless transmitter into your sound source and the mains – though it can run on batteries too – and...

These babies are far from small, and though they are really comfortable you might feel like you've got a couple of sofas wrapped around your ears. And while the sound quality overall is very strong, we did feel there was a little bit lacking in the...

Another winner from audio over-achiever Sennheiser. They're not quite sonically perfect but for how well the idea has been executed this pair of wireless wonders gets our stamp of approval.
