Skullcandy Navigator

Skullcandy makes some very popular headphones, but I can't say I'm a huge fan of them -- I've always found them a bit "style over substance." But when the company sent me its new Navigator headphones, I was hoping they'd be different, and I'd finally...

The relatively compact Skullcandy Navigator on-ear headphones have a slick retro-future design, offer a comfortable fit with decent sound for $99 headphones, and their detachable cord has an Apple friendly inline remote/microphone.

Some headphones in this price range sound better; some of the inline remote features won't work with non-iOS devices.

While they don't quite measure up performance-wise to some competing models in this price range, the Skullcandy Navigators score points with their eye-catching design and comfortable fit.

Skullcandy Navigator

Quality audio performance, with distortion-free deep bass response at high volumes. Cool design emulates Aviator sunglasses, includes inline microphone and remote for phone calls and controlling playback. Detachable cable adds value

On-ear design leaks audio to those nearby. Drawstring carrying pouch sheds black felt particles—lots of them

Skullcandy's Navigator headphones meld cool style with distortion-free deep bass and a budget-friendly price tag.

average in almost everything

I like the Skullcandy designs as well as the sound - when you compare it in shops against other headphones. I bought a Navigator as it was on 'special' at Surfstich, not because I needed it. The good: nice design, fits well, detachable cable, good...
