Sync by 50 SMS-WS Wireless Headphones Review

What we've got here is a pair of wireless headphones by the name of Sync by 50, made by SMS audio and sent out in the first wave of headphones approved and tuned personally by 50 Cent and crew. This model is the shiny white version of these...

You can also plug these phones in with a fairly general feeling audio wire colored with a lovely bright blue, and will find the quality of the audio surprisingly similar to that which you’re hearing otherwise via bluetooth. This whole setup comes with...

Sync by 50 wireless headphones review

The first news of a 50 Cent headphone line came at CES 2011, where the hip-hop mogul announced a partnership with Sleek Audio for the Platinum line of wireless headphones. Just a few months later Sleek confirmed that the parties had terminated their...

Wireless streaming works well ; Comfortable to wear ; Sound quality is good

Large footprint makes for difficult storage ; Dongle is flimsy and easy to lose ; Hardware controls don't always function

50's trying to unseat Dre, but his headphones under-deliver

SYNC by 50 Cent (White)

If the $399 SMS Sync headphones are any indication of 50 Cent's contribution to the audio industry, he should continue churning out rap albums, energy drinks, and Vitamin Water, but leave the gear to the professionals. These are the first Kleer...

Four SMS Audio Sync -equipped users can connect to the included wireless dongle for group listening, Kleer Wireless streams sound much better than Bluetooth, and SMS includes a 3.5mm cable to use when the battery runs out.

The delicate plastic housing and the flimsy 3.5mm dongle both suffer heavy creaks under light pressure, and the headphones don't fold up for easier transport. I'm also disappointed that the headphones don't actively cancel noise and that the single USB...

The Sync by 50 wireless headphones made the right move using Kleer technology for lossless sound, but SMS Audio needs to fix severe design flaws and lower the price before they're ready for battle.

"Truly AWESOME Headphones with a couple minor flaws"

I've been using the Sync by 50 for a couple weeks now. In fact, I have them plugged into my MacBook Air right now streaming Pandora as I type this review. Since I also own the Beats Studio as well, I have to say I strongly prefer the Syncs. Here's the...

"pretty good headphones when compared to my beats studio"

first off these headphones are very expensive (i didn't pay full price, and got them with points) but you may get lucky and be able to find a good deal on them. the range on these headphones is great and the sound quality is on par with the beats...

"This is how C-NET reviews a $400 set of headphones?"

Wow, even the mighty C-Net's reviewers suffers from The i-Blinders Effect; i.e., style and packaging are what matters, the innards not so much.

At least the review mentions that The Sync by 50 headphones headphones aren't noise cancelling, though that feature sometimes conflicts with better audio quality.

Umm, do they sound any good?

should be named UNSYNC

Loses wireless sync every 2 minutes or so, with the transmitter only 3 feet away from the headphones. We assumed that the unit was defective, so returned for a replacement. The second was no better. Happy with the sound quality, but that doesn't do any...

The best

These r the best headphones I swear, 50 cent did the job! Dre beats don't come compared to sync, maybe if the price was cheaper, they sounded a lil better, and they were wireless!

Total Waste of Money / Way Over Priced!

These head phones are a total waste of money. I bought these and they stopped working after 4 months. Plus the sound quality is not near worth the price.
