Sound ID 510 Bluetooth

It appears there's an app for everything these days, including Bluetooth headsets. The BlueAnt Q1 was the first with an Android app , and now the Sound ID 510 is the first with a custom iPhone app. Though the Q1's Android app is mostly for reading...

The Sound ID 510 is a slim and lightweight headset with a discreet, minimalist design. It comes with different-size ear loops that feel comfortable in the ear, and we like the dedicated power toggle. The Sound ID 510 has a dedicated iPhone app that...

Special features like the Personal Sound mode and the headset locator are available only with the iPhone app; Android and BlackBerry owners will have to wait for their own apps, whereas nonsmartphone users might never have these features at all. We...

Combined with the iPhone app, the Sound ID 510 is a truly excellent Bluetooth headset for iPhone owners.

"Better than Jawbone with some caveats"

If you're considering a Sound ID 510 or any of the Jawbone headsets, avoid Jawbone (build quality and support are wretched) and buy the Sound ID - but beware of what you're getting. Starting at 5 possible stars, I had to dock them a star for the...

Sound quality, battery life, fit

Annoying set up, much hyped Ear Print app is more hokey than useful, headset locator could be a lot better and deserves to be.

Good looking product. Too bad it doesn't work right the majority of the time.

Good when it works! Best points goes to the comfortable ear pieces.

Keeps saying "Disconnected...Connected." Sent item back to Sound ID and received a replacement under warranty...THEY SENT ME A REFURBISHED SOUND ID 510!!! You'd think they'd send you a new one that works. To my surprise, the "refurbished" 510 had the exa

"Not what it's cracked up to be!"

In a nutshell....don't waist your time and hard earned money! There's better out there.

Small slim size

"Not the headset fault"

To the people complaining of constant disconnection and reconnection issues also background noise or hard for people to understand you, this is not a fault of the headset. I guarantee you have the iPhone 4 yes? I have been through all that rubbish with...

"Poor Sound Quality. Can't run water, sneeze, make sound."

Look elsewhere for better sound reduction.

Comfortable. Connects easily.

Poor Sound Quality. I can't run water, sneeze, open an envelope, or anything that makes sound. it gives very short notice when the battery is low. I had a Motorola that I lost that told the battery level whenever it was turned on. I think I'll look for an

"Earprint now works with BlackBerry and Android. :-)"

Overall the best headset I've ever encountered.

EarPrint definitely makes this headset superior

None really.

"Good fit, sound quality. Noise reduction undetectable."

This unit is comfortable to wear and has great sound quality when used in a quiet environment. The voice prompts are well thought out. Voice dialing is very good in a quiet environment, but even a little background noise throws the voice dialing on my...

Lightweight, good fit. Excellent sound quality. Dedicated power switch is nice. Holster for carrying unit in the pocket is really nice.

Noise reduction is worse than zero. Tech savy callers claim background noise is far worse with the Sound ID than with the iPhone alone. Unit occasionally has trouble keeping connection with phone, so voice keeps saying "Disconnected--Connected"

"It was a Christmas gift - so far I'm very pleased."

Bottom line is it seems to be all that the AT&T sales person said it was. It fits very snugly in my ear; the sound quality is very clear; the connection is quick; I enjoy the Ear Piece app that I have installed on my iPhone, it helps to really...

The sound quality both in and out is great. I especially like the noise canceling feature. My Jabra bluetooth was good but people always complained about the background noise.

The only con I have found so far is that the bluetooth seems to really drain my iPhone battery quickly. I will have to learn to turn it off unless I am using it.
