SteelSeries Flux gaming headset (Luxury Edition)

An already solid headset gets a premium version

Stylish yet comfortable design ; Great audio reproduction during gameplay and movies/music

No dedicated soft protection under the headband ; Carry pouch doesn't provide protection

If you're looking for a solid headset for gaming, the Luxury Edition of the SteelSeries Flux is a good investment. It could use some refinement though, especially when it comes to padding under the headband.

Steelseries Flux Headset review

An excellent option for the gamer on the go

Comfortable ; Durable ; Built-in splitter ; Concealed mic ; Tangle-free cords

Average audio quality ; No in-line volume control ; Dull looking ; Luxury set a questionable value

The Steelseries Flux headset is an excellent travel headset and a very good, Jack-of-all-trades product. It's great for hauling around to LAN parties, and if you often find yourself with a fellow traveler watching DVDs on a plane, the compact design...

Price to Performance

Recieved these in the mail late it seems. UPS is doing a horrid job recently.

The flat cord makes it easy to store and wrap up on a circular object. This effectively prevents any issues while wrapping it up ; The sound range is great for a pair of 50$ Headphones ; I would rate it a 7/10 for price to performance. This makes the...

The inline mic quality is not really that great sadly ; Whenever touching the cord: It will make a loud scratch or thump sound due to it carrying the noise to the headphones. It is quite annoying ; It seems these headphones are oversensitive to movement

Pretty good

I was really bummed that these didn't work well for running, but overall this is a decent headset given the price. The issue with cord noise is a typical downside of in-ear designs, so I'm not going to be too hard on these for that.

Sound quality is good for the price. You are not going to mistake these for a $200 pair of headphones, but you shouldn't expect to. The sound is good enough that there's no annoying qualities to it, and it's a definite step up from budget headphones...

I primarily wanted to use these headphones to listen to my music on my smartphone while running, and I absolutely hated that experience... when the cord bounced up and down, even a small amount, it created a loud & obnoxious "thump" sound in my ear. It...

Earbuds for audiophiles and/or runners

I know this probably sounded like a puff-piece, but that's only because of how impressed I am with the product. No one's giving the Eggxpert Reviewers any money for these reviews.

Extremely comfortable. They provide two malleable curved pieces of rubber to fix around the wire which wraps around follows the contour of your ear; no uncomfortable rigid plastic that can chafe when used during exercise. There are multiple sizes of...

Only con I can think of pertains to the microphone – occasionally the people I spoke with had difficulty hearing me. But honestly? I’ve had to repeat myself more often using just my phone ; The memory foam tips really do block out almost all sound....

Great Ear-Buds. Great Sound

Wow these things sound great. I don't play many computer games, but I was excited to try these out with my HTC One, while running. The sound is very rich and I was presently surprised as this is my first experience with SteelSeries and head phones. The...

Great sound. Full bass ; Comfortable fit ; Flat "non-tangle" cable ; Works for Mobile, PC, and Mac machines ; Right Angle connector ; PC cable included for connecting audio and mic ; Foam "Comply" tips are included ; Over the ear hooks are included ;...

These are really impressive, but for the price I would have expected better... even audio quality across entire volume range, better quality control

cord does not tangle easily ; really impressive audio quality at mid-volume levels... see cons ; in-line mic picks up well and doesn't have much of a problem with background noise ; mic is convenient as you don't have to unplug when a call comes in ;...

Bass gets lost at low volume and distorted with intermittent crackles at high volume ; for the price I would have expected higher quality audio at all volume ranges ; quality control issues, right ear piece was cracked at the seam. Some super glue...

Incredible Earbuds

Final notes about these are as follows. For sound I will note that the sound reproduction and quality changes dramatically between devices, and because these respond in such a broad, balanced and, full manner, the sound differences are incredibly...

These earbuds were great even from the moment I opened the box. Everything was well packed and they came with a nice little carrying case that would easily travel with you in your pocket, etc. First impressions before actually trying them out, I...

I could not find too many things to complain about with these, however I do have a few things I will make note of. The no-tangle cord seems to be more of a gimmick, but they are not too terribly easy to tangle if you take care of them right. The...

SteelSeries Flux In-Ear Pro

If you look at other headphones in this price range, you can clearly see that Steelseries has some big shoes to fill. However, as much as I can guess from having listened to these headphones and not the other, I believe they are well up to the...

I was genuinely surprised by these headphones. From the moment I opened the box, it was clear that this product is well thought-out – the carrying case is very small, but can fit the headphones, and all of the included accessories, comfortably. The...

My biggest gripe that I began to notice more and more as I worked my way through my music library was the disappointing level of bass that these earbuds are capable of delivering. The notes are there – 20 and 30 Hz tones are audible, but are much...
