SteelSeries H Wireless review

SteelSeries is getting next-gen capable and living room ready

Super-comfortable design ; Stellar sound quality ; Transmitter's OLED screen ; Two long-lasting batteries

Volume seemed underpowered ; It's expensive

At the £270 level, a gaming headset needs to not only be devoid of significant issues, but also be a really refined and awesome addition to your game-playing experience.

Sound quality mediocre for music ; Comfort levels only mediocre ; Expensive

The SteelSeries H Wireless is a seriously high-end wireless gaming headset that includes just about every feature you could imagine, including a superb desktop USB controller with inbuilt battery charger. With a retail price hovering above £200,...

SteelSeries H Wireless Headset

If you don't mind a high price for a device best-suited to a single task, the SteelSeries H Wireless Headset is one of the better wireless gaming headsets you can buy.

The H Wireless is built for gaming and that’s where it really shines. It comes with all the cables you’ll need to connect the receiver to any game console or PC and even supports higher-quality optical audio if you have a device that supports it. I...

Simply amazing

I would consider myself an audiophile and for being a gaming headset primarily they are wonderful ; Being able to connect both my playstation 4 and my computer at the same time and switch between inputs remotely from the headset is a HUGE advantage. I...

Ok the cons ; 1 con of the headset doesnt have anything to do with the headset itself but what comes with it. The length of the cords they give u is a joke. A 3 ft. usb cord is worthless to me. I had to go out and buy a 10 ft. extension at Radio Shack....

Superb Sound - Fantastic for Home Theatre

When I opened the box and saw the size of these headphones, I thought they would be heavy and a bit uncomfortable if worn for an extended time. Not so. They were extremely comfortable. I watched a 2 hour movie and if it had not been for the remarkable...

When the box arrived, it was obvious from the box and packing that these were quality headphones. Everything fit well and is easy to repackage if you want to use the box carry the headphones in for travel ; I do not have much time for gaming but I...

The only con I would say is the cords are short. You have to have the transmitter fairly close to any device you want to hook up. Not enough of a con to keep you from buying since the transmitter is small and lightweight. I guess its a plus also to not...

The last Headset you'll ever need

I need to get my hands on some more SteelSeries gear ASAP!

Not much to say other than this is truly a great product, I'm an avid gamer and I love to watch movies at home also. The fact fact that you can hot swap batteries and remain wireless permanently is a great touch! I've owned Astro A40's and Logitech...

Non really, other than maybe the fact that I didn't get one of these things sooner. Also the rage cuts out after about 50 feet which isnt really bad at all... But this is me being nitpicky

Durable, supportive, unusually quiet

I had only one real problem with this headset. Its not powerful in sound levels and delivery. I contacted the company directly and they told me volume limitations are out of their control and in mid 2013 a law was passed restricting the company. This...

Great for extended use ; the retractable mic guarantees to save me from what ruined my last pair of headphones ; the sound card is a worthwhile gimmick

no on headset programmable buttons ; can not use w/PC unless USB is connected (negates the purpose of using the higher quality optical in)
