Tritton Warhead 7.1

Let's make this easy from the start: If you're an Xbox 360 gamer and you're OK with spending a moderate chunk of change on a wireless headset, no better option is out there than Tritton's about-to-be-released Warhead 7.1 cans. You can expect to spend...

Top-quality sound in games ; Microsoft wireless security chip with easiest setup available ; Exceptionally good battery life ; Two batteries included, so one can charge while the other is in use ; Comfortable, sturdy build

Conveniently placed audio controls prone to accidental button presses ; Snug fit results in sweaty ears during long play sessions ; Virtual surround sound will never replace true surround sound

You might find that competing offerings from Turtle Beach and Astro come out stronger in one category or another, but the Warhead is a brilliant piece of Xbox 360-exclusive gear that offers much to justify its $300 price.

TRITTON Warhead 7.1 Dolby Wireless Surround Sound Headset

Do you know what group of products represents the fastest growing segment of the console accessory market? Although your first instinct is probably to say controller, that would be wrong. The actual answer is gaming headsets. Thanks to the rise in...

The illuminated logo on the side of the headset is initially cool to look at, but glow 24 hours a day. I have to unplug the AC adapters since there is no power button for the headset itself – just the module. Pros: One of the best HS I have ever...

1 word, Quality

I own the Turthle Beach XP500s, but they are flimsy and don't have the recharagble battieries and the sound is a little off.

I got these things just 2 weeks ago and they are blowing my mind. The quality is great, not just like other headphone that are just plastic that feels like it is going to fall apart. (I've already dropped these and they feel just as strong) ; The bass...

Just the weight, but that only for over an hour of playing time maybe even 2 and even then, its not bad, just a little noticable

Tritton Warhead 7.1 review

The Tritton Warhead 7.1 has has an incredible feature set and is beautifully designed – but is it the very best headset for the Xbox 360?

Looks and build quality ; Spare rechargeable battery ; Truly wireless

Slight mid-range dryness

The Tritton Warhead 7.1 most assuredly achieves its goal of being one of the best Xbox 360 gaming headsets that money can buy.

Tritton Warhead 7.1 Wireless Surround Headset for Xbox 360 review

Exclusively for the Xbox 360, lose the mic cables and Bluetooth dongles for a 5.8GHz wireless chat headset from Mad Catz and Tritton. It's premium level stereo power at a premium level price point.

Awesome battery life ; Static-free wireless connection ; Easy setup and interface ; Great docking station and charging solution ; 7.1 sound provides an immersive experience

Expensive ; Xbox 360 only ; Sound not crisp enough for true audiophiles
