Polar M430 review

Excellent fitness stats ; Personal coaching for running ; Comfortable to wear ; Built-in GPS ; Heart rate sensor

Outdated design ; Notifications are terrible ; Software lacking in certain areas

While we had our nitpicks with it, namely the need to use the Polar Flow desktop app and its touchy connectivity, there’s still a lot to love about the Polar M430 if you’re not put off by its visuals. With the capability of tracking a healthy helping...

Polar M430

The Polar M430 is a great fitness tracker for runners, but a bit too pricey and sporty for more casual use.

Built-in optical heart rate monitor and GPS. Tracks indoor activity. Vibration alerts for push notifications. Thin, perforated strap.

Sporty design and colors not for everyone. Can't swap bands. Slow syncing and unintuitive app design.

If you're a regular runner or training for a marathon, the Polar M430 is a solid tracker. It has a comfortable, breathable band, its screen is easy to read outdoors, and Polar emphasizes helpful stats for runners like heart rate, distance, and splits....

Polar M430 In-Depth Review

It's been a few months since Polar first announced the M430, which builds upon their previously popular M400 GPS watch aimed primarily at the running crowd. While the M430 is a modest upgrade to the M400, it does bring with it features that enable it...

Polar M430 review

Simple, smart and effective

Good battery life ; Easy to use ; Reliable and accurate

Annoying charging lead ; Not the best looking ; Some smartphone syncing issues

A highly capable tool for goal-driven runners, the Polar M430 takes nearly all the best bits from the best-selling M400, adds solid wrist-based heart rate tracking, better GPS, sleep tracking and smartphone notifications to create one of the best...

Polar M430 review: A super-accurate running watch

It's big, fat and hard to live with permanently, but the M430 is much better when you break it out for running specifically

Sensational battery life ; Straightforward app ; Very accurate

Ugly ; Uncomfortable to wear for extended periods

Therefore, it all comes down to exactly what kind of fitness tracker you’re looking for. If you’d prefer a stylish watch or band that never needs to be taken off, the M430 doesn’t fit the bill. If, on the other hand, you just want a super-accurate...

Polar M430 review: Brilliant function over functional form

The Polar M430 won't win any beauty contests, but its performance is tough to beat

I have two opinions about the Polar M430 and bear with me because they’re a bit contradictory.
