TomTom Adventurer

Outdoor enthusiasts may be wooed by the TomTom Adventurer's ability to display preloaded routes, but issues with all-day wear and a few other drawbacks make this fitness tracker less appealing than it could be.

Large display. Reliable heart rate monitoring. Capable of storing music and routes. Special features for outdoor hiking. Can enable/disable heart rate monitoring to preserve battery.

Heavy and uncomfortable when worn for long stretches. Not attractive for all-day wear. No push notifications.

The TomTom Adventurer has some neat additions over the Spark 3, but it's still missing a few things that I expect in a watch nearing the $400 mark. There are no advanced running metrics, like V02max, which are included in higher end Garmin devices, the...

TomTom Adventurer review: A great fitness watch for skiing and hiking (and everything else)

Another excellent TomTom fitness watch, this time with a bent on outdoor pursuits

We gave the TomTom Spark 3 the thumbs up, so it would be remiss of me not to be as positive with the Adventurer, given that it does even more. Whether you want to spend £50 more to get those features depends on what you want from your fitness watch.

Looks great, works great

I've had a few running watches and this is the best by far. Fantastic having all the different activities and they all work really well.

Packed with features. Good battery life. Great phone app. Not the best looking watch though.

TOMTOM Adventurer Outdoor GPS Watch - Orange, Universal

Bought TomTom wireless earphones which work well. Removed the bulk of carrying my phone with arm band so works for me.

Having to manually rip my old cds in order to transfer music. A cloud based solution would be preferable.

TOMTOM Adventurer Outdoor GPS Watch - Orange, Universal

Nice colour strap and easy to use watch. Heart rate monitor seems accurate, GPS signal picks up quickly. Features wise stacks up

Battery life. I've used it 3 times on 3 hikes with Scouts and when fully charged it lasted 2.5 hours :( Turns out to be a product that's not designed for the real adventurer... it lasted 11km on the last hike when we covered 21.5km in total. As a...

TOMTOM Adventurer Outdoor GPS Watch - Black, Universal

Great to have so many functions in one watch. Accurate. More discrete than previous versions (still large though).

Software interface is a bit basic. E.g. the activity tracker reports are not as slick as fitbit. However all the info is there and seems just as accurate. Proprietary charging cable
