I browsed several dozen systems at local and online retailers and just happened to stumble upon this beauty. This is the nicest receiver you are going to find for even twice the cost. It has TONS of hookups for every A/V input you could imagine (2 coax...

Sound out of this system, for the cheap price it is right now (4 bills) is great. The amp alone could sell for that price. It actually has 5 hdmi passthrough, as some have pointed out. The CEC technology that allows you to control certain connected...

The receiver and subwoofer are both quite large. The receiver throws a bit of heat, so you need to make sure you not only have the room for it, but a little extra and some way to vent the heat. For its size, the sub doesn't do near as well as I would...

great receiver, speakers suck

I would recommend it. SADLY though the speaker do not seem to be THX certified. Just the receiver. Very sad on onkyo side. The speakers should also be thx certified. I may upgrade the front and center speaker one day but not for a long time. if you...

receiver is great, LOTS of options. easy setup. I like the system, I upgraded from a HTIB yamaha that was 6 years old. the ms's thinks its about the same but i think the sounds are way more detailed. it really makes you feel like you are in the show\movie

it doesn't seem to have a lot of deep boom to it, thought when i set up the mic thing i had the bass up all the way, i will change that and hopefully be able to crank it up, also when i wall mounted it, it sounds kinda of tinny now. Just means lots of...

ONKYO HT-S7409 Network A/V Receiver/Speaker Package

Now shopping for speaker stands to make my little theater perfect.

Color coded set up made it a breeze to set up. Remote works the TV

Speakers won't mount on my speaker stands. Very minor issue

wow nice HT for the price.

Oh and that quick setup thing with the mic don't work it doesn't even sets it up right so if I were you just do it your self.

Sounds amazing setups easy

But before you hook it up u really need to buy speaker wire and a sub out cable cause the one that comes with the sound system kinda sucks

Great Starter!

I've been waiting 8 years to get a Home Theater system. However, 3 children in that time I've had to downgrade everything I wanted. Priorities :) This system is FANTASTIC. If you are on a budget buy it now! Free Shipping!! I stole this for $379...

Bass is very good, smooth, good range ; Receiver has plenty of options ; Remote is very easy to use ; Banana clips for speaker, great connections on receiver ; Audessey set up for speakers was accurate and good results ; The receiver has to weigh about...

This is a HT in a box....speakers aren't klipsch or paradigm(duh) So don't expect them to blow you away. 1st upgrade is speaker wire ; The speaker connections are the tab kind...not a good connection
