Great price average receiver

Great price average receiver

It has worked well. The sound is good but not blaring if you crank it. I paid $150 so I am not complaining about the product, just the design. To turn on the subwoofer you must hit a button on the remote and then a button on the receiver. Why not...

Great System, Great for a First, Great Price!

Great System, Great for a First, Great Price!

Excellent system

Excellent system

This is a great starter system for DVD watching (and in my case Xbox playing beginning on the 15th). It can be more than a starter system and even a primary home music source: I have experimented with replacing the included (super-cheap) front and...

For the price you can't beat it

After looking for a home theater system for some time that wouldn't bankrupt me, i finally found this one. For ... you really can't go wrong, it does DTS as well as dolby digital and despite the speakers only being small they'll go pretty damn loud...

Product Specifications

AIWA offers a wide range of products in consumer electronics, multimedia, and computer storage devices and peripherals. All deliver outstanding performance and value. The company pays great attention to home audio systems. The HT-D580 home theatre package features Dolby Digital & DTS decoder, 80 Watt/Channel Receiver, built-in Dolby Digital decoders which accommodate source components, such as DVD players, that output a non-decoded Dolby Digital data stream. The system decodes this signal into six discrete channels that are separately amplified and reproduced through five surround sound speakers and a subwoofer. This feature maximizes audio reproduction quality with a new DVD player and makes your system ready for future Dolby Digital sources, such as digital TV, cable, and satellite broadcast systems.
