Diamond ATI TV Wonder HD750 Review

Some things just seem to be reliable and unchanging. The sun rises every morning, chocolate chip cookies are the most popular in America and your 1968 console tv will turn on and produce predictably snowy picture. Think about that, with as quickly as...

Easy Installation and Setup ; Smooth Playback On Even Older Processors ; Easily Portable ; Easily Transfers Between Computers ; Excellent Picture Even With Weak Signal ; Integrates With Windows Media Center

Limited Remote Range ;

I have used ATi All-In-Wonder and TV Wonder pieces extensively in the past, but never with an antenna, and never a USB piece. Given these two factors I wasn't expecting all that much, but I was dead wrong on this one. The Diamond ATI TV Wonder HD750...

Diamond ATI TV Wonder HD 750 PCIE

Most of the products on the lower end of our TV tuner card lineup didn't land there because there is anything particularly wrong with them. For the most part, the latter portion of our matrix is

This TV tuner card is simple and inexpensive

It only functions properly with Windows Vista

This is a great product for people with simple, inexpensive tastes.

Hardware is good, software is lousy

Good for a single task of TV viewing, but can do anything else, while TV is on. If you have multimple programs loaded, everything slows down and lags.

Easy to setup hardware, works ok. Everything included even remote control

Software takes very long time to install. Software by ArcSoft is a hog, takes 30% of CPU resources. Very slow to load, very slow to change channels. Everything is slow. Picture quality is ok. Sometime there is clicking can be heard while viewing

Cheap but a poor value

Pay more for better quality. You're not saving anything if what you buy winds up in the trash in a few months. I figured USB TV tuners had been around long enough that even the inexpensive ones were at least decent at this point. I was wrong. I only...

Inexpensive and installation is easy. Needs no third-party software if you're using Windows 7 with Windows Media Center. Just install the drivers and let WMC detect and control it

Seemed to work fine at first. Very occasional use. I maybe got 12 hours of total TV watching time out of it before it died. It had intermittent reliability issues as time went on. Finally stopped working entirely. None of my computers will recognize...

Worked 'okay'... at first.

For the money you pay? Spend a little more and get a more reputable model. This one simply just didn't make the cut. Diamond tech support has been slow to respond to RMA process.

Inexpensive. USB. Comes with its own small antenna. Supports composite in

Two months after purchase... it stopped working. Intermittently at first, but then completely. Windows Device Manager sometimes shows it as Code 10 - Device failed to start. Reinstalling drivers completely failed to resolve. Moving ports used to 'fix'...

DON'T Buy This!!!

None

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! I bought one and tried it in four different computers running 3 different operating systems. It simply did not work. I shipped it back (at my expense). They shipped a replacement that worked for less than five minutes. I am not...

Amazing Product

Easy to install. Handy add on software. Superb attachments for mounting antenna. Remote which I have not tested. works seamless on my Win7 6GB i3

Heats up if used extensively, free antenna not so powerful so planning to get a new one

Works Great on Win7 32 bit!

I was very wary because of the bad reviews here, but it was really plug and play! I'm using it in Windows Media Center with the drivers off of ATI's website. I'm using it on an older HP tc4400 laptop with Win7 and 4 gigs of ram (though it can only use...

It works for Comcast ClearQAM and pulling in the basic channels. Looks great in HD compared to the old NTSC stuff. Looks great in Windows Media Center and the drivers off of ATI's website, I never bothered with whatever was on the CD

Doesn't pull in channels that you used to be able to get in analog from Comcast, like USA, TBS, and the like. This might just be here though ; The big thing is DON'T JUST PULL IT OUT you will most likely get a BSOD. I have been shutting down the...
