All-in-one HTIB in a budget, lacks mid range.

It's a good entry level HTIB, compared to others, good features to use..

Value for money..good punch from the sub..features are the best for the price

Lacks mid range at times, surround speakers are bad..really bad., amp may get damaged if used at high volumes for long duration

Decent starter system for the price

Center and Tower speakers DO NOT! come with 2x 4" cone woofers. I shined a flashlight though the glued shut grill and there is only one 4" woofer. Onkyo's website, manual, retailers and review sites all state that it should come with two. Poor Onkyo...

7.1-9.1 channel system, loud with crisp sound

Weak speakers, poor customer service, deceiving marketing

Good starter system. Lacks full roundness sound.

Good amp. Light on full soundness unless played at a higher level. Being a professional musician, I know the bottom end is weak, but I was under the impression all these newer speaker systems have a fuller sound than all the older speakers. I still...

Great staring system. Good clean, crisp sound on the mid to high end. Has 4 HDMI's

Lack lusty bass end. I have pair of old Advent Tower speakers that I believe have a fuller sound than this system. The bottom end will sound full once the sub-woofer kicks in. But if you're listening to something that has a light bass in it, you won't

nice receiver/amp, very poor speakers

I replaced the speakers with some decent Polk ones and considered the Onkyo speaker "system" a total loss for this purchase

tuner has a ton of flexibility and power for a beginner set up, 2EQ rocks

the speakers sound like crap (pardon my french), it negates buying a "system ; main/center very inefficient, total lack of mid-bass, the sound "plasticy ; rear/back no comment they are so bad ; sub- this was actually OK

Onkyo service is not good

Cheap

HDMI blew out in less then a year. I've had it in service for over a month now, and still don't have an eta on when I will receive it back. I understand parts break, but the service is lacking

Bad Cables - component video does not work

very few blu-ray movies support 7.1 channel sound... Why not spend this money on a 5.1 setup that is fully supported and is built with higher quality components?

out of the box this thing looks and sounds awesome. However, the cables are cheap and the reciever is somewhat difficult to program correctly

I upgraded all the wires except the subwoofer cable right out of the box...turns out the cable is very "cheap". Somehow the tip of the male end of the cable broke off inside the female end of the speaker input. There is no way to get it out and now I...

Newegg is nut

Seriously ordered this and a refurb blu-ray player, the BD player was _the next day_ and this in two days, sweet!

3-day shipping came in like 1.5 days, newegg rules on that note. Got open box unit for discount, looked like new and it sounds awesome! (according to friend i got it for)

None

I love my surround sound.

I am still using the stock speaker wire that came with the system. While upgrading the speaker wire would be nice, it's not mandatory. I've had my system for 3 months now. I have the receiver set up in an open area and I do not feel that heat from the...

Sounds great, thunderous bass ; Setup was pretty easy ; I love the 4 HDMI ports ; Games and Movies have never sounded better in my house ; We have our Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii all hooked up to it. Also our Comcast cable goes thru it and occasionally we...

Hard finding speaker mounts for ; The subwoofer is not protected on the underside. While I don't move it often, that is poor design on Onkyo's part. I fabricated some wire mesh and attached it to the bottom of my subwoofer ; The unit has a brief click...
