Step-up SC-BT300 delivers better sound quality, albeit for more money; no Netflix or Pandora streaming; autosetup mic is too short; no video inputs; lacks Wi-Fi

Panasonic's SC-BT200 is a 7.1 home theater system with built-in Blu-ray and solid sonics for the price, but it doesn't have the Netflix streaming found on some of its similarly priced competitors.

Great value for price!

Good sound and performance.

"limited Viera Cast"

OK but limited.

iPod, 7.1 surround, Blu Ray

Very limited Viera Cast - no NetFlix or Skype. Very misleading as product on the web site links to Viera Cast showing these, but look closely at the fine print that says the 2008-09 devices have limited services.

"Panasonic customer service sucks!"

Love surround sound of DVD's, but this unit was a bit expensive for a DVD player. If I wanted a DVD player I would have purchased one!!! oh yeah, I did! Will not play Blu-Ray movies. Had the unit for 13 months now & have only played approx 4...

Surround Sound is awesome

Won't play Blu-Ray movies, only DVD movies.

"Panasonic is Awful"

We have called Panasonic repetedely and have been hung up on, given phone numbers that lead no where, promised call backs that we never get and so on. We did get free shipping to send the BT230 back but still do not have a player to this day, 6 MONTHS...

Sounds great when it worked

It stopped playing DVDs and only played blu ray discs. We recieved new firm ware that did nothing. This was in March. We had to pay to ship it to Panasonic and they shipped us a SC-BT 230, it costs $150 less and could only play 5 of the 7 speakers.

"Great Sound, Inexpensive, Easy Set-up, Small Speaker"

Great sound with an easy set-up, great price for amazing quality, speakers are color coded so easy set-up, speakers are small and fit on most stands, great product, was skeptical at first but became very impressed after setting it up

Tru-Sound, Easiness of setting it up, Quality, Great Sound and great quailty all at a low price.

No cons that I can think of

"Great sound & value for 7.1 & Blu-ray in a HTIB!"

This is the third HTIB system I've owned and easily the best one yet. Given the cost of standalone Blu-ray players, this combo unit is an excellent value. There is no ability to switch video sources but this is not my primary home theatre and a PVR is...

Price; great sound; powerful sub; 7.1 capability; great BD & DVD video; integrated iPod adapter; compact receiver size; easy set-up; Ethernet update worked first time; integration with Panasonic TV volume control

Slow Blu-ray loading; no video switching. I don't need wireless speakers or Wi-fi capability.
