Great for the $$$

Got the system during black friday deals and paid around $300. If I had to do it all over again I would probably pay another $100 and get the 6500 with the extra HDMI inputs to run Xbox and HD DVR trough the system. Currently I must run everything...

Good Price. Easy Set up. Calibrates well with current Samsung HD TV Set. IPod Hookup. Streams Netflix Great. Pandora App is great. Stream live baseball games w/ app. Good to great sound

I have noticed the same problem as Vodkadrummer w/ the bass. No HDMI Inputs. Blueray controls on box are tempermental. Radio doesn't sound as great as I thought it would

Packs a Punch

Very good unit for the price. I wouldn't pay more than $400 for it though (got mine on sale from Delll for appx $350).

Sound quality is respectable and desireable. Setup is dummy proof. System options available are reasonable and sufficient for a great home theater experience. Compact. Fairly easy to connect to computer for pic/mp3 playback

Poor disk door quality (flimsy plastic) occasionally (25%) gets hung up and the door does not open without assistance ; Touch sensitive open/close button on my unit only works intermittantly directly out of the box. Limited # of useful Apps

Good sound and features for the price

Good entry level for the value-sensitive buyer. Do not expect audiophile sound from toy speakers. But they are MUCH better than speakers on most TV sets.

Easy set up ; Adequate/Good sound (albeit a bit "boomy") even in a large room with two story ceiling ; value for money

Pathetic speaker wires with push-pin attachments--cannot substitute #14 or 16 wires without adding in new pins (royal pain) ; Unit seems entirely integrated--one function failing would take out everything ; limited apps

Good Buy @ Best Buy

We picked up this refurb unit in the past week and we have not experienced any malfunctions (no fires, no need to contact samsung, no one got injured installing, etc...). We are using the internet features and they work wonderfully with the system.

One Remote - One stop shop for our entertainment needs

Minor issue: A little slow at bringing up the "home" page and you need to select the BD/DVD option to open it up

Beware of Samsung Home Theater products

I purchased this surround sound system solely on the basis of my previous experience with Samsung electronics. I own one 50" plasma, two LCDs, one flat panel monitor and a DVD player. Based on the quality of those products I was reasonably comfortable...

Nothing unless you don't like having it actually in your house
