Samsung HT-D6750W

Samsung's latest 3D-capable all-in-one system guns for glory with nifty new features and decent performance.

Generous feature list ; Great-looking menu system ; Blu-ray picture quality

Main menu sluggish in operation ; Some harsh high frequencies ; Boomy sub

The HT-D6750W presents us with a bit of a conundrum. On paper, it's an astonishing proposition, boasting an incredible feature list that reads like an A to Z of current home cinema trends, plus the external styling and jazzy onscreen design are real...

Samsung HT-D6750W review

This 3D Blu-ray all-in-one system from Samsung works wonders with high frequencies, but it should drop the '7.1' tag

Fabulous tweeters on the main stereo pair ; Good Blu-ray performance ; Smart Hub net connection

Not a 7.1 system in the recognised sense ; Unrefined sub

Samsung HT-D6750W review

The Samsung HT-D6750W offers a pseudo 7.1-effect from just five speakers

Good picture ; strong spec ; elegant design

Harsh, unforgiving sound is at odds with the relatively high price

Despite good online services, it’s disappointing by the high standards of its class

Samsung HT-D6750W review

Samsung's top-of-the-line home cinema system is frothy, feature-rich and just a bit mad.

Fabulous tweeters on the main stereo pair; good Blu-ray performance with Smart Hub net connection

Not a 7.1 system in the recognised sense; unrefined sub

Samsung HT-D6750W review

Samsung's HT-D6750W is the company's top-end home cinema package. With a 3D Blu-ray player, surround sound column speakers and a wireless receiver for the rear speakers that helps make setup a breeze, it looks like a worthy upgrade to your TV's...

It might claim to be 7.1, but the HT-D7650W doesn't sound much better than 5.1 systems and is more expensive

Samsung HT-D6750W review

This feature-packed system sports Wi-Fi and DLNA streaming, but can it really offer true 7.1 sound using a 5.1 set-up?

It’s elegant and talented, but the Samsung suffers from a brittle sound

Samsung HT-D6750W

Gone are the days when home theatre systems simply delivered 5.1 channels of sound; this Samsung system does much, much more than that.

It's got the lot — Wi-Fi, Smart Hub, AllShare, Anynet ; Superb video playback on all formats ; 3D sound actually works

Poor subwoofer ; Bright-sounding super tweeters ; Major dust magnet

By far, this system's biggest appeal is its vast array of networking and streaming features. Gone are the days when home theatre systems simply delivered 5.1 channels of sound; this Samsung system does much, much more than that. Picture quality is...

Consumer review (productreview.com.au)

Absolutely useless for internet downloads.

If you download movies from the internet, dont buy this player. Constant blocking of video files playback, sometimes within seconds of starting, other times after 30 minutes or so into the movie. Comes up with "CinemA" protection error and either stops...

Good surround sound, when it works!

Over the top protection on files!
