good, but defective product purchased

Good product, but given Samsung product quality (poor) and customer support being poor, ensure within your first 30 days that you are OK.

Great product. Best features for an all-in-one box HT System. I have done a lot of research but the combination of features is excellent. I used it for a while, so sound quality is acceptable for a HT system

I got a defective product. After struggling with it for a while, I returned it to the store. The problem was that that sound mode (theater, movie, sports etc.) and the dolby features did not work. Customer support is pathetic

Can not recommend

After Dealing with the appalling support process and going with our a DVD player for almost two months. I had the DVD returned to my seeming untouched and nonfunctional with the same problems that I had sent it off with. Now Samsung has proven to be...

Played DVDs and had Decent sound while it lasted

Upscale never worked right - everytime you turn it off you will have problems with rear wireless speaker connection. The entire unit completely stopped working after only three months- Support process leaves much to be desired

Good but bad

This system sounds really good when it is actually turned on. There is nothing more frustrating than trying to watch a White Sox game with no sound for 2 hours.

Easy set up. Nice sound

Sound turns off for no reason every once in a while. Shuts down during powering up

High quality for the money

This was my first home theater that I purchased concurrently with my Samsung HDTV and Blue Ray player. Overall, the product is good value for the money. Audio and video output is good and the unit interfaces and recognizes the Samsung HDTV and Blue Ray...

Easy setup, high quality DVD video, acceptable surround sound, easy interface with other Samsung products

Lack of HDMI outputs, recognition of other Samsung products often slow

Not the complete home theater solution I hoped for.

Like another poster, I was completely misled by the review touting the IPOD and USB features. The manual lists a page of compatable USB devices, but I was not able to read our Canon or Nikon digital cameras or any of our USB drives. The only sucess I...

Decent sound for the money. Clearly designed remote works well with Samsung TV's

Half baked Ipod and USB "features" make this unit more of a problem than a solution

Misleading editorial review re: ipod, usb

For the ipod, you must click the up/down arrows to move to each and every consecutive choice, no holding it down to scroll. So, an album starting with "W" is going to take quite a while to reach. Moreover, songs in playlists and albums are in...

Just got it; seems fine

ipod controls are not usable (on my ipod nano); usb jpeg playback is crippled

1 year in and still love it

For the money sound and features can't be beat.

I have had this system for about a year now, and for the money I feel that I could have not made a better choice. 1080 up scale always seems to produce an outstanding picture. No problems at all with the rear wireless. USB input has been great

Lack of digital inputs may force the consumer to get a little creative when hooking up several different devices

I am very pleased with my home theatre system. It is not a three thousand dollar Bose system, but if you want a good meat and potatos home theater, this is a good one.

Very simple to set up and hook up. Instructions are clear (although print is kinda small) and the booklet is ONLY in english!! Good quality sound, although the speakers don't appear to be very high quality

Wireless was kinda hard to set up. I had to reset the connection with the receiver several times before it would link up. The speakers look like something you got as a kid with your 8 track

What a disappointment.

The HT-TZ512 was not at all what I expected. Became totally exasperated and returned it. Sprung for the Bose 3-2-1 GS Home Entertainment System. The bottom line is you get what you pay for the Bose is amazing. The Samsung is not true wireless and is...

Absolutely nothing

The protection signal kept coming on and when I reset it the check rear speaker signal would come on. Samsung customer service tried to help, but I became disgusted and returned the system

It has very nice features for the money.

Good stuff. I have been a samsung fan for a while now. It is not the cheapest thing out there but it is certainly not the most expensive either. but I think it is very good for the money.

It's all there. Dvd. subwoofer surround sound. You do not need to run wires across your room to rear speakers. Makes things much neater. 5 disc changer is nice on lazy days, you don't have to change movies every time you finish one

Rear speakers are nor truly wireless, but still better than older technology. Changing inputs is a bit slow(going from dvd to aux e.g.)
