Samsung HW-E550

The Samsung HW-E550 is a flexible home theater sound system, with plenty of included hardware for various mounting options, but it suffers from mediocre audio quality and a slightly too-high price.

Supports Bluetooth wireless streaming. Multiple speaker configurations add placement flexibility. Includes HDMI, coaxial, and analog connectivity, plus wall-mounting hardware and speaker stands. Useful remote

Input ports are located on the subwoofer's back panel, which is tough to reach. Can sound a little thin and bright with music. Confusing manual

The Samsung HW-E550 ($369.99 direct) is a curious beast. It's a soundbar speaker with a wireless powered subwoofer, which is mainstream enough. But it also converts into three other form factors, including a two-piece horizontal soundbar, a 2.1 stereo...

Samsung HW-E550 Convertible Wireless Sound Bar Review

Samsung has new options in the sound bar field. Exhibit 'A' is the HW-E550 which is for those people looking to improve on their TV audio without heading into the deeper waters of home theater.

4 options for mounting ; flexible ins/outs ; Separate sub ; Bluetooth and USB connectivity

Wired sub limits placement ; Time consuming setup

Samsung HW-E550 Soundbar & Wireless Sub Preview

Sound bars are nothing new, but Samsung is attempting to multi-purpose its new HW-E550 by giving it greater flexibility of placement. How? How about Bluetooth, USB, ARC and a wireless subwoofer!

Excellent Sound Bar

The versatility of the HW-E550 is what led me to purchase this sound bar. Wanted a simpler set up for our family room. Easy set up out of the box, took about 45 minutes. Read many reviews on the product so I knew about the misleading wireless claim. I...

This is one cheap piece of equipment!! The system is poorly made and has the worst sound of any theater system I've ever owned. I was shocked when I disconnected it and the TV speakers sound was even better. Whats 1000 watts if it's going to sound like...

Can't beat it!!!

I purchased for a small small living room (San Fran small apt), not really knowing or caring anything about surround sound. It was relatively easy to connect to all devices, HDTV, Playstation 3, Dish VIP 722rcvr. I say relatively because I had to use a...

Nice sound for compact sytem

This is a good product and I am pleased with it. The key to it interfacing well is to know that it needs to be connected using and HDMI cable that has CEC capacity and this needs to be plugged into the HDMI port that says "ARC". Then it\'s quite easy!

Clear Sound","Interfaces Well With TV

Poor instructions
