Sharp ANPR1500H

Sharp's ANPR1500H is a stylish step-up from its predecessor, and it packs in a range of new elements that make it an attractive proposition.

Perfect accompaniment to a flat-panel television, deep bassy sound

Heavy, virtual surround is poor, no HDMI input for video passthrough

The ANPR1500H is a great stereo replacement for the in-built speakers of a flat-panel television as well as providing a stylish stand and A/V equipment rack. It won’t be able to emulate a proper surround sound system for movie playback, but it'll do...

Sharp AN-PR1500H home cinema rack review

If you're one of those people who thinks home cinema kit should be heard but not seen, then Sharp's latest AV rack could be right up your street. Stealthily concealed within its stout frame are a DVD player and 2.1-channel speakers, providing a...

Sound quality, sturdy build quality, easy assembly, convenient solution

The Sharp ANPR1500H will hold up your TV, but DVD playback and music replay are just not good enough for us to recommend it.

Can hold very big TVs ; Movies sound OK ; USB input

Cheap looking ; Terrible DVD playback and upscaling ; Poor music replay

Conclusion If you couldn't tell from the rest of the review, we weren't particularly impressed by the Sharp ANPR1500H. The only thing it could really do to a high degree of proficiency was not fall down when you put a TV on top of it. While you may end...
