This Sony home theatre system looks the business, but can it cut the audio mustard?

Stylish design ; Solid video performance ; Packed with features

Audio performance lacks weight ; Not the easiest system to get to grips with

Sony's Blu-ray system is packed with features but flawed sound quality lets the side down

Stylish looks ; Excellent picture performance ; Generous connections

Boomy subwoofer ; Fatiguing high frequencies ; No built-in Wi-Fi ; Plasticky build quality in places

The subwoofer is much better. It’s a squat cuboid shape, with four short legs giving the downward-firing driver and port underneath a bit of airspace. It’s a helpfully compact size and the neutral styling helps it blend discreetly into the room.

Superb looks, picture and online services are let down by confused sound

Sony BDV-E880 – now with two HDMIsThis Sony certainly has looks on its side, with elegant, curvaceous speakers and a gently swept-back main unit. The specification has been usefully enhanced, too. No

Awsome

This is one awsome stuff w.r.t both sound and video quality. The only concern is that it doesnt deliver sound upto the mark, if audio has been recorded in low bitrate. Something that I liked the most is that it has so many INPUT connections available...

Great Home Theatre System

The best feature of the home theatre system is auto calibration. After installing it I just performed auto calibration and the system optimized itself for great quality 3D sound. Watched Avatar with full HD and 5.1 Channel surround sound and enjoyed...

poorly designed HTS

I was quite tempted by this HTS, and purchased it on a sale for [price]. The audio/video quality is good. However the HTS is severely lacking in features. Interface is poorly designed, and lack of inbuilt wifi makes it worse (USB dongle that comes...
