Software is buggy. It has one job and can't do it

Ok app, insight into usage.

Doesn't understand daylight savings time. Can't turn on when setting on or off using sunrise or sunset. Lot's of bugs with the iOS app. They need to spend a lot more time on the software side.

RE: Buyer Beware

Like any other home automation solution, it has glitches but most of them have been worked out. Most of the problems I have seen is that they like DHCP Reservations, aka static ip's done through the DHCP. That makes the memo much more useable and stable.

Ok, so I see a lot of negative reviews and they are do mostly because people do not know how to properly reset them. The process takes 2-3 minutes and must be done exactly as stated. Plugin the Wemo, press the reset button until it flashes Orange/Blue....

Sometimes if they aren't used a lot, they can freeze up. RMA if this happens or wait for the next firmware update

Update upgrading to 4 Stars

Belkin thanks for the fast response. Seems to work best with a manual switch. Our fan with a digital interface can only be turned off with the WEMO where as our old fan with the mechanical switch can be toggled ON/OFF. Liking it the more I use it. The...

Same as above

Good Idea still needs to mature

I chatted with Tech Support, very nice but not much help. It appeared the WEMO was connected to my wireless router but after 30 seconds It would turn off an try to discover other wireless networks. I discovered on my own that the Acceskey/password was...

Nice way to track energy usage. Can turn stuff ON/OFF when away from home. If appears that Belkin is updating the APP on a regular basis.

Setup more difficult than you would be lead to believe from their quick start Guide. Firmware/APP could use some more work.

Works great..

Works fine, once in a while you have to just shut app off and re-open it - but that happens only if you have to change a rule

not for free.. :)

a bit expensive, but works good

It works as supposed to be working but considering the price it seems a bit expensive specially if you need more than one to handle diffrent devices separately

Works great! Android app could be better

Excellent device. Monitors power consumption and allows you to remotely turn it on or off. I use it for a miner and if hangs or stops working, I get a notification and I can power cycle it.

The only con is that the android app is poor. It takes a few refreshes or app restarts to see the device sometimes. while this only adds and extra 30 seconds of needed time, it becomes annoying. Additionally, the app UI is dated.
