Yahoo Mail Reviews

By (cnet.com)

Easy to use ; provides twice the storage space of Hotmail ; blocks bugs and viruses ; eliminates all but 5 percent of spam ; offers its own keyboard shortcuts

Charges you to retrieve mail with a desktop client such as Microsoft Outlook or Eudora ; video messaging suffers from audio/video synchronization problems ; no longer encrypts messages

Even though it now charges for services that were once free, the redesigned Yahoo Mail is still the best free Web e-mailer around.

Review: Yahoo Mail

Drag-and-drop interface ; well-integrated with calendars, maps, chat, and messaging ; unlimited space

Intrusive ads ; limit on filters ; POP access costs extra ; no IMAP

Yahoo! Mail does a great job linking dates, addresses, and phone numbers to maps, calendar appointments, and address book entries

Moving dayYahoo! works with a service called TrueSwitch to import messages...

Clean interface, even though it's chockablock with features. Tabbed windows with preview panel. Drag-and-drop functionality. Messages can be via SMS text, IM, or e-mail, and are convertible from one format to another. RSS reader. Calendar and notepad ...

No Opera or Safari support. Doesn't open directly to your inbox. No AIM chatting.

With the addition of SMS text messaging and support for Windows Live Messenger IM, Yahoo! Mail remains the webmail client to beat. Its tabs, preview panel, drag-and-drop, built-in RSS reader, and oodles of other little goodies-all within a clear and ...

And at the top of every e-mail you compose, there are now three icons, one...

My account was compromised and Yahoo does not...

ease of using

There is a serious problem with Yahoo's ability to keep accounts safe. Yahoo does not provide any personalized service to protect or communication when serious issues arise.
