Polycom VVX 1500 review

Video calling doesn't necessarily mean using large dedicated suites - it can be done from a phone that sits neatly on your desk. We try out Polycom's VVX 1500.

The VVX 1500 has a great range of features and is easy to configure. Full support is currently limited under most SIP server platforms, but video call routing is easily handled via a TFTP contacts directory, so this doesn't put too much of a crimp on...

Polycom VVX1500 review

Polycom have been in the phone and video conferencing business for many years - but what has been missing in their product range has been a reasonably priced desktop phone supporting video calling. Until now.

Overall I was very impressed by this phone. Polycom have been in the video conferencing market for many years and have done a great job building a phone that is both great for regular voice calling and delivers a great video calling experience. The...

Polycom SoundPoint IP 330 review

VoIP phones could bring significant cost savings and flexibility to your business. We take a look at one of the latest enterprise calls SIP handsets from Polycom.

But is this phone the one to choose for your company's big push into VOIP? Well it certainly ticks all the boxes in terms of its core abilities. It's robust, well, made and easy to use, so most users should be able to take full advantage of its...

These phones are great

I have over 100 of these currently in use in my office. In more than 3 years of use, we haven't had a single failure.

- PoE powered -- no external power supply required (contrary to other reviews) - Great sound - Widely compatible with multiple VoIP systems - Crazy reliable

- Limited functionality (it's a basic VoIP phone) - Only 100mbit network connection (limit's attached PC to 100mbit if you use the pass-through port)

Hard to return

I am not sure what happened. I had also called their various numbers listed and couldn't leave a message or reach a live person even though I was calling during business hours. I have called Newegg to help us return this. I really would like our $500...

They shipped the product fairly quickly and it was what we ordered

We realized that what we had ordered wouldn't work with our phone system. So, we contacted Antonline to return it within their return window. We got a response saying that products missing items, with customer caused damage, etc. couldn't be returned....

No Power Supply

It arrived within a week or so!

Does not include REQUIRED 24vac power supply that instructions show are "optional" depending on region, which is the most ridiculous statement I've ever heard! Make sure you check into this before you order as the power supply is $50 - $150 by itself...

Poor customer service. Read their return policy VERY CAREFULLY.
