B&W Zeppelin

The mothership of iPod speakers , the Zeppelin won't sink your music like a lead balloon.

Awesome sound. Unique design. Video out.

Limited remote controls. No bass and treble adjustments. Can't connect to Mac for iPod syncing.

The Zeppelin will satisfy even the pickiest audiophiles. You can find other iPod speakers that have more features and sound just as good for $599, but if all you want is a splendid-sounding speaker, the Zeppelin is it.

B&W Zeppelin iPod Speaker Dock

For many, the initials B&W will conjure images of Ansel Adams photographs and Hollywood classics; the thoughts of audiophiles, however, will turn fondly to the legendary speakers of Bowers & Wilkins. The idea of B&W turning its thoughts to the iPod...

The best sound we've heard in an iPod dock; incredible looks

It's six hundred dollars

An integrated amp delivers 50 watts to the bass speaker and 25 watts to each of the other speakers. Our experience backs B&W’s claim that an onboard digital signal processor automatically adjusts frequency balances in response to volume levels. The...

Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin

The Zeppelin airship was to be a supreme affirmation of German superiority… and we all know how well that turned out. However, British speaker company Bowers & Wilkins has high hopes for its own 21st cen-tury Zeppelin – the difference being that this...

Striking design; impressive audio; works with most iPods

Clumsy remote; expensive; cannot navigate iPod menu with remote control

If you're going to listen to an iPod at home, this is the way to do it.

B&W Zeppelin

people will see, however, is the Zeppelin's graceful design, from the metallic arm that docks the iPod and puts it on display (Apple iPods, we forget, are design pieces in their own right) to the bizarre body that seems impossibly balanced. I have to...

Excellent sound. Exotic design. Video-out for iPod-to-TV. USB connection to perform software updates. Rubber mount to change speaker angle.

Limited remote. Takes up a lot of space. Expensive for a featureless dock.

The Zeppelin iPod dock costs a ton because of its graceful design and excellent sound, but don't expect any fancy functions such as a FM radio, alarm, or even useful iPod navigation on the remote.

B&W Zeppelin Speaker System for iPod Review

B&W's Zeppelin speaker system for iPod looks more like a piece of modern art than a set of speakers. Then again, it looks more like a black and chrome version of the Hindenburg than modern art. So

Tight, punchy bass ; Crisp, detailed highs ; Sleek styling

Funky remote ; Expensive (you get what you pay for)

Without a doubt, this is the best speaker system for iPod I have had the pleasure of listening to. It is very hard for me to find much to complain about in the system. The remote is a bit awkward feeling in my hand - the buttons are very small and...

B&W Zeppelin Air iPod Music System

I've never been a big fan of paying for brand names for their own sake. Build quality? Yes. Performance? Absolutely. Aesthetics? Sure. Ease of use? Certainly. Each of those has value, and it often makes sense to pay more, even a lot more, for any one...

Review: B&W Zeppelin iPod speaker system

The Zeppelin is among the most expensive iPod speaker systems we've seen, and if sound quality is your only consideration, there are less-expensive alternatives. But, like Apple's own hardware, few systems can match the Zeppelin's combination of...

The Zeppelin’s built-in, rubber-foot base angles the system slightly upwards for placing the Zeppelin below ear level; an add-on stand, also rubber, lifts the back of the system slightly so the speakers radiate horizontally (the approach to take if the...

Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin iPod Speaker System

The B&W Zeppelin iPod speaker system is certainly one of the loudest and best-sounding you're going to find in this category. Whether it's worth $600 to you is another matter.

Great sound quality; very loud; unique design

Very pricey for an iPod dock with few features

Double your display real estate by adding a second monitor. It's a snap: Here's how

If you received a new iPod or iPhone for Christmas and are looking for a speaker dock so you can get more depth from your tunes Bowers and Wilkins has the product for you. The B&W Zeppelin is a roughly football shaped speaker dock that offers great...

Product Specifications

Here are the speakers your iPod has been waiting for. Zeppelin is an integrated iPod speaker system from Bowers & Wilkins, makers of the speakers that much of the music on your iPod will have been monitored on. B&W creates technologies and systems that world-leading studios depend on and that find their way into even its most affordable speakers. Zeppelin will fill a room with crisp, deep, lifelike stereo sound, and deliver musical detail that you won't believe your iPod could deliver. That's because the two have so much in common: blissfully simple design and world-leading technologies that let you get the most out of your music. Take a look at your iPod. High quality digital copies of thousands of tracks, each one sitting there, waiting to be heard in all its glory. Zeppelin sets them all free. A full stereo system in one unit, it releases all of the detail and atmosphere that standard iPod speakers miss. Compact enough to tuck under your arm, it can set you free, too. Zeppelin allows you to have real hi-fi stereo sound wherever you need it: upstairs, downstairs or perhaps in a den, bedroom, kitchen, office or second home. Or you might just need a simpler, smaller and more stylish replacement for your traditional audio system. Zeppelin rocks, wherever you are, yet is simple to set up and use. Plug it in, place your iPod on the docking port and hit the play button. You can vary the volume on Zeppelin itself, on its remote control or on the iPod. And connections at the back let you play other sources through Zeppelin or channel images from your iPod to a TV.
