Excelent Value...

For $100, a great deal. But sound quality compromised due to emphasis on boomy bass. I have treble at +5, bass at -1! Ipod dock wasted on me. Why hook up music player to this?

Attractive design ; Sensitive tuner even with supplied antenna ; Remote control ; Many features and well constructed. Heavy ; Plays loud and clean

Display too small (problem if near sighted!) ; Mid-bass emphasized (This is a huge minus!)

Exactly as advertised

Overall, a solid, well-designed, and very well built piece of gear. Newegg site design, price, and shipping is all first rate. What a relief to have things done this well.

Great tuner! Why can't all tuners grab stations like this? Easy to use, intuitive controls. Simple layout. Precise volume control with a great range. Nice choice of inputs. And, of course, solid sound--not audiophile quality, but among the top tier for...

Dock is a little awkward to use

Great Value

For $100, it is worth it! It is well made with tons of features. Wish it included HD radio. Ipod dock doesn't interest me either. Receives stations well with included antenna wire. Nice looking and well made. Weighs a lot! Even has remote. Only...

Great Value ; Attractive ; Nice Tuner ; Heavy Duty Construction ; Many Features (i.e. remote, dual alarms etc.)

Controls Not Very Intuitive ; Mid-Bass Emphasized ; Clock Display Too Small

It's not intended to play to a very large room, but sounds great in the dining room.

Excellent price for a very good unit. Works well with my Itouch gen2 (A1288) 8gb ; Newegg peace of mind

The controls take some "discovery" but it's all there

Boston Duo

I think you will have a hard time finding a better sounding or constructed stereo for $99.

Simple to set up and use. Solid, heavy unit that stays put. Sounds very good for this class of stereo. (ie: not McIntosh seperates!) Remote is comprehensive, convenient and magnetic. I bought 2, one for my office and the other to replace my 22 year old...

Not really a con, but it doesn't compare to my dedicated 2 channel 375 wpc Carver/Vandersteen stereo system in my home theater. :)

Boston Acoustics Horizon Duo AM/FM Stereo Radio w/ iPod Dock (Midnight)

I think newegg should tell buyers that the ipod dock does not work with the ipod touch 3rd generation.

Good sound quality for the price. Well built. Easy to operate

The ipod dock that comes with unit does not work with my ipod touch 3rd generation. I bought this unit primarily for the purpose of playing the music on my ipod. Since this doesn't work, I basically bought a good radio, which is not what I intended to do

Excellent sound but

Plus: Great sound, bass on a small footprint Cons: It gets warm even when it is not in use, and is not iPhone compatible, the updated Plus solve the 2 cons above but the price will be $200+

Attractive Design,Easy Setup,Easy to Mount,Good Power Output,Great Sound Quality

Awesome Unit!

One of my favorite products ever!

I just replace the $1200 Bose Wave with unit! This Boston unit sounds every bit as good!! And it's a fraction of the price! (with my present order I'll now have 3 of these!)

None that I can see or hear! Contrary to what other folks have said, the radio tuner is great

Can't beat for the price

This is a slightly older model, it does not have the integrated Ipod dock like the Duo-i but it's basically the same thing, actually I think the separate dock maybe better as some report compaitiblity issues with the Duo-i and ipod touch 2nd gen. This...

Superb sound quality for the price, nothing beats it ; Good AM/FM reception, Ipod dock works great, tested with 2nd ; gen Touch. Can be remote controlled, bass & treble adjustment ; Very loud and no distortion at all on max volume. The interface is...

Maybe size, but there's no replacement for displacement. You have to make a slight sacrifice on size if you want any decent sound quality, there's a reason this sounds so much better then an ihome. The unit runs slightly warm to the touch, but I've not...

Good but not Great

I returned the original radio because of the am hum at lower frequencies, the replacement also hums badly. If you listen to alot of am radio, I would recommend the Horizon solo as it did not hum. I use it to play my Zune. However, I bought a Bose...

Good sound for the price ; Nice remote included with magnet for sticking on fridge ; FM and Aux input sound good

Very poor AM reception. There is a very loud hum at low frequencies on the dial such as 650 kHz. The hum lessens as you go up the dial. Almost unusable ; Prefer the way the Horizon Solo programs stations over the duo. You can program 20 presets both am...
