Sony SRS-BTM8 Review

The Sony SRS-BTM8 is a curious looking device. It resembles a purse, replete with a carry handle to boot. However, unlike a real purse that's usually fashioned out of leather, this one's all plastic. Like the title says, this thingamajig here is...

Sony's offering then, may not sound the best, but it allows an affordable (relatively, of course) means to own a portable Bluetooth speaker system. However, the lack of a rechargeable battery may be a deal-breaker for those who may not want to invest...

Sony SRS-BTM8

This Bluetooth speaker has little sonic baggage – it's crammed with features and for the money is quite a find

Classy design ; Feature-packed ; NFC speeds up the pairing process ; Strong dynamics ; Controlled bass

A dash of brightness in the treble

Sony SRS-BTM8 Portable Speaker

This is a speaker with a handle that can be mains or battery powered. Apart from Bluetooth, NFC and the ability to have a hands free conversation with it from a Smartphone it also has a 3.5mm socket so an MP3 player can be connected.

The Sony SRS-BTM8 Portable Speaker measures 19x8.5cm at the base and 25x2cm at the top where the handle has all the controls. The total height is a tad over 16cm. With the optional 4x 'AA' batteries inserted in the base it weights 1060grams. At the...

Brilliant for the price

First for the important stuff It connects on the spot with NFC, even in the shop when I wanted to test it. Had it running on main power mostly. But have been playing on batteries for several hours ( cannot feel the difference) same set of batteries for...

Great sound and build for $68

Very surprised how good this speaker sounds for only $68 ! Bought two ! NFC works well. If you have an old smartphone the sound quality is limited. We have paired a Sony Xperia Z1 and Google Nexus 5 just by tapping the top of the unit and the NFC does...

Great Value, great sound and very portable with hands free.

For the money I can't fault it.

good for the laptop, ipad or mobile phone

sounds ok next to the laptop or ipad, playing quietly, not for filling a large room with music. the hands free feature is very good, its like having the parson your talking to on the phone, in the same room with you, and able to join in a conversation...

quality, sounds ok, easy to use, hands free
