XtremeMac Tango Studio

Sweet Studio System

Good price. Decent sound.

Mediocre bass response. Limited remote controls.

The Tango Studio is an excellent deal for budget-conscious shoppers who want to get more out of their iPods.

Reviews: XtremeMac Tango Studio

Rather than struggle to make a really amazing audiophile-quality sound system, XtremeMac has done with Tango Studio what it does best: a clean industrial design with acceptable performance and a surprisingly attractive cost. This isn't a $200 or even a...

In the context of what Tango Studio does offer, that's a relatively minor omission. Had its radio performance been better, we would unquestionably have given it our high recommendation: for $80, it's hard to go wrong with the feature set, design, and...

Pretty good

I don't know much about speakers, but I thought this one was pretty good. The sound gets pretty loud, and it's got good bass. I am very satisfied with my purchase. The remote is cool, but it died after 2 months (probably the battery). FM didn't work at...

XtremeMac Tango Studio

XtremeMac is known for quality iPod accessories and the company's latest is a compact room audio system. The Tango Studio boasts FM radio, an auxiliar...

Decent sound at lower volume levels, supports all iPods with dock connector, FM radio, auxiliary line-in

Lack of bass, distortion at higher volume levels, no FM radio presets, no equaliser or basic audio settings

The Tango Studio is a largely unremarkable iPod speaker system and the lack of FM radio presets is a strange omission.
