The cord never retracts ALL the way

WHO: I bought this for our household PROS: It's been working perfectly for years now Allows you to keep the cord out of the reach of toddlers. Very durable I've dropped it a couple of times and nothing has broken off it. CONS: It never fully...

I've been using this iron every morning for over a year and have had no problems with it. It heats up fast and NEVER leaks. EVERY single iron I have EVER owned had a leakage problem, so this is a great relief to me. Sometimes the retractable cord...

Unreliable

This iron has been unreliable from day one. The only thing that's worked consistenly is the pull in cord. The heat fluctuates, with overheating and underheating always a problem. I bought it less than 6 months ago and it died today after leaking...

it's an iron..

Has a retractable cord. Has some nice safety and steam features. Build quality seems pretty good

If you leave the iron on "steam" and tilt or turn it off, then it will leak. The steam is not quite strong enough to use as a steamer

My wife is happy, so I'm happy

It's apparently my job to survey and buy household items, even though my wife uses them the most. She told me the basic features she wanted, and I found them -- and more -- in this reasonably priced iron. She told me she's happy with it, so that's...

lousy iron

lousy iron

I had this iron for about six months, using it very lightly (at most 10 items every three weeks). To start with the "steam burst" was a joke. It was very feeble at the begining and in a couple of months even that was sporadic; sometimes it would...

Disappointed with the Panasonic Vertical Steam Iron

Disappointed with the Panasonic Vertical Steam Iron

I am not happy with this iron. It does not get hot enough for cotton. I have to press over and over again even with steam. The teflon plate does not allow for smooth and easy pressing/sliding. The retractable cord does not retract. This iron was...

Product Specifications

No more trips back home to see if you left the iron on. Our mercury-free electronic sensor automatically shuts off the iron after 10 minutes if it is left in the upright position. The iron will also turn off after 60 seconds if it is tipped over on its side or left unmoved on the soleplate. The non-stick coating helps the iron glide smoothly and effortlessly over the fabrics, making the task of ironing a lot more tolerable. Retract the cord quickly and easily with just a touch of a button. The adjustable steam button allows you to select just the right amount of steam required for your ironing needs. Choose regular steam for heavier fabrics or light steam for touch-ups. With our steam/dry selector, you can select to steam or dry iron by simply pushing a button. The spay mist button helps eliminate stubborn wrinkles by directing extra moisture where necessary. Powerful burst of steam helps remove stubborn wrinkles when ironing. It also helps clean the steam vents on the soleplate after ironing.
