Amazingly poor design for a modern day product

The box looks and feels reasonable well-built and it comes with two thick cables to get everything connected. Once it's all connected, the fun begins. There are two switches on the front, no make that four switches: two pairs of switches. The top...

1920 x 1200 widescreen displays, keyboard hotkeys, KVMs both audio input and output, inexpensive

very clumsy, virtually unusable front-panel switches

Good Home Office Product

The expensive ones for server rooms are great, but many of these small ones for home use are flakey. This one works fine switching between Mac and PC with different screen resolutions, even though one likes to show traditional 4:3 screen and the other...

exactly what I needed

This switch was exactly what I needed. I have a Linux machine as my main system, but I wanted to play with windows 7. I added the switch and set up win7 on another machine with my second monitor and it worked flawlessly. I was completely amazed. I...

360 + computer to monitor = working

Makes a high pitched beep when you swap port channels, my last switch didn't do this so I kind of like it.

I use a HDMI to DVI-D cable to plug my XBOX 360 into my monitor. Anyone doing this knows the hassle that comes with this when you want to use your computer, yet keep your console running (or in other words switch between the two). This worked right out...

Not really a Con, but my set-up is my computer into port 1 and 360 into port 2. If I turn off my 360 while on port 2 channel, the switch shows my computer's display while still on the port 2 channel. The obvious drawback to this is there will be color...

Great quality KVM!

Steep price but when you want it to just work ATEN just does.

Works great with many computers, monitors and doesn't seem to be picky about certain keyboards or mice as long as you aren't expecting the enhanced functions to work (they won't on any KVM, KVM's emulate basic mice/keyboard HID devices)

About a second delay when you switch devices to the keyboard/mouse working. Couple other KVM's didn't exhibit this behavior, easily forgivable though ; Not a con of this switch but a con of DVI in general. When computers boot the video card does some...

Great Product

I have tried a few competing KVMs like the Belkin Switch2 models that sound great until you get them home and realize they do not handle "multifunction" USB devices. Examples of multifunction USB devices are a mouse with a scroll wheel, or a keyboard...

Not bad but pricey

I really loved my Linksys KVM. It worked fast and handled large resolutions and even my USB/ps2 gaming mouse. BUT at 1920 x 1200 res I wanted to get away from VGA. I'm very used to toggling between PC's by hitting CTRL + CRTL. That's it. This Aten unit...

Plugged everything in, it worked right away. Switches audio & usb devices nicely. Lots of options regarding what to switch, fully digital, comes with the necessary cables to go from each PC to KVM. When you switch it's fast. Doesn't go through...

this may be a bit problem for some people... you need to be viewing the machine that you are booting. If not, your display will come up as 640x480 or some heinous resolution. Not sure if this is just my monitor or not but it's not a huge deal for me...

Great Buy; Highly Recommended

Very good price on decent kvm. Comparing it to other kvms of the same price, this baby had the most options, the highest resolution, and came with all the cables you need. I have both a mac and a pc hooked up and they both work flawlessly (besides the...

Well made/crafted, very durable, includes switching for DVI/audio(stereo and mic)/two usb ports. Keyboard commands allow for switching of individual components. Acts as a 4 port hub

For some reason, if I turn on the pc when the kvm is not focused on that port, the computer gets confused and the graphics card limits the resolution to the lowest setting, and it will not let you turn up the resolution until you reinstall the driver,...
