Corsair Vengeance K60 Gaming Keyboard Review

CORSAIR IS aiming at the very top of the gaming keyboard market with its Vengeance line—two boards with exquisite build quality and luxury price tags. The FPS-oriented K60 may be the cheaper of the two, but it still comes in at more than $100 MSRP, and...

Feels great; cool design; easy to keep clean

Not all keys are mechanical; no software support

The simplicity of the keyboard extends to the operating system—it requires no drivers and has no customization software. Most other keyboards in this price range offer some amount of customizable bindings or hotkeys, but it’s hard to hold their absence...

Corsair Vengeance K60

The Corsair Vengeance K60 keyboard is a weapon built to a gamer's specs, with a left-handed wrist rest and 10 swappable sculpted keys.

Great typing experience with springy mechanical switches. Swappable keycaps. Built-in media controls and volume knob. USB pass-through. Detachable palm-rest

Palm rest is left-hand only. Silicone dome switches used for some keys

Corsair Vengeance K60 FPS Gaming Keyboard Review →

Corsair Vengeance K60 is a swell mechanical keyboard that knows its target audience well, but could stand to use a firmware fix and ditch the membrane dome-switched function keys.

Driverless ; Contoured WASD, 1-6 keycaps as swaps ; Cherry MX mechanical keyswitches ; Dedicated media controls ; Smooth volume roller ; Optional reverse tilt, gaming wrist rest ; Windows key lockout ; Standard 104-key layout ; Rear-mounted USB 2.0 port

Function keys are membrane dome-switched ; Current firmware results in occasional repeating key ; No backlighting ; USB port is single-port passthrough ; Replacement 1-6 keycaps lack special characters ; Only available with Cherry MX Red keyswitches

Corsair Vengeance K60 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

The Vengeance K60 FPS Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is one of Corsair's latest introductions. This keyboard is a rare cherry MX red keyboard (similar to cherry MX blacks), offering very light resistance to key presses, and no tactile "click" during...

Cherry MX Red switches for light resistance and high spam-ability ; 20 key rollover ; Contoured and textured FPS keys which can be swapped with traditional keys ; Key extraction tool included ; USB port available ; Slick design

Wrist rest may feel slightly odd ; Cherry MX Red switches not for everyone, typing experience mixed ; Very narrow feature set

The Vengeance K60's Cherry Red switches offer a unique experience for gaming. It does not have a tactile "bump/click" feeling, which has extra resistance. The light resistance coupled with no "bump" allows quick successive key presses on the same key...

Corsair releases a mechanical keyboard for FPS games within the new Vengeance brand. Check out our test.

High precision mechanical keys ; Easy to clean ; Comfortable hand rest ; Comfortable replaceable keys ; USB port on the backside ; Blue connectors are easy to spot

No illumination ; Requires a programmable mouse ; Mechanical typing can get tiresome

Corsair Vengeance K60 Mechanical Keyboard Review

When Corsair releases a new product line, it's never for a "me too" reason. Instead, the company clearly strives to deliver interesting products that people, especially gamers, crave. The Vengeance line-up of keyboards and mice is no exception, and...

The vast majority of keyboards out in the wild use rubber dome keys. They're simple, cheap, mass produced and just 'work'. Keyboard breaks? Get a new one, without batting an eyelid. Rubber domes are one of the reasons we have $5 keyboards. They're also...

TYPO KING

This worked fine for a couple weeks then it went south and fast. I've even tried a wrist strap to ground myself to it to no avail. Cheap switches is the likely issue. I'm the only one who uses it so I know it hasn't been dropped or beat on.

The volume roller is about the best thing I can say about this

Many, most of the keys aren't mechanical, Numerous keys either stick or don't work when pressed the first time. I'm having serious typo problems, spell check corrects when typing notes and such. But, I use this for gaming. Game chat and passwords are a...

Good overall, but not perfect for me

It was tricky to find a keyboard with all of the features I wanted. I required well-placed media controls, and a full right-side numberpad, both of which, many mechanical keyboards seem to lack. I also wanted a mechanical keyboard- and this is my...

Very nice looking ; Very sturdy. You can feel the high built quality all over ; Good, well-placed, functional media controls ; BRILLIANT volume roller, seriously, this thing is awesome

Red switches are not for me ; Not fully-mechanical
