Corsair Vengeance K70

The Corsair K70 is a mechanical gaming keyboard that sports an innovative design. Find out how it compares to other keyboards in our full review.

This keyboard has a robust design and superior backlight control

A complete lack of macro support means this keyboard won't appeal to a large portion of PC gamers

Even without macro support, the K70 is a powerful gaming keyboard and, in the right hands, can be an effective tool.

It's expensive, but its raised-key design makes this the best mechanical keyboard we've ever used

Corsair Vengeance K70 Review

Sporting a gorgeous brushed aluminium chassis, Cherry MX Red switches and key-by-key customisable lighting, is the K70 a game changer?

Excellent build quality ; Cherry MX Red switches ; Red LED backlighting ; Easily detachable wrist-rest runs the length of the keyboard ; Media keys and volume wheel ; Windows lock key through hardware ; Polling rate selection as part of hardware

No macro keys ; No custom profiles ; Only USB 2.0 passthrough ; Price runs in the face of strong competition ; K95 more feature-packed for only £10 more

Over time we have come to expect great things from Corsair's product teams, whether it be their previous core memory business or the relatively new peripheral line. The strength of the brand breeds users who are both content with the products they have...

LED failure guaranteed.

I liked my first keyboard so much I bought a second one for work. That one is newer and has yet to lose an LED but I'm confident it is only a matter of time. If a Corsair rep is reading this KNOW THIS: I refuse to pay shipping for the RMA process so...

Aside from the LED's this is hands down the best keyboard I have ever owned. I love the feel of they keys, the fit and finish of the keyboard, the overall build quality just feels exceptional. The media keys and volume roller are also very nice

The LED's WILL FAIL. Not a question of if, it's a question of when. Look up other reviews or visit corsair's forums if you don't believe me. I have 12 LED's out right now and expect the rest to go eventually. This sucks because I really liked the...

Great keyboard!

I just wanted to add that this isn't the exact model i have. i have the black finish with red backlighing but it still has the cherry mx blue switches.

The brushed metal looks great in the black and the silver finish and doesnt fingerprint easily ; The design is simple but is still extremely capable ; LED's can get pretty bright ; The cherry mx blue switches make for a really tactical gaming and...

Some of the larger keys are kind of 'mushy' but its really nothing too problematic ; You can only save one back light pattern at a time which is a hassle if you play a lot of different games and you want certain keys lit that pertain to that game ;...

Superb Quality Mechanical Keyboard

In conclusion, I was extremely pleased with this keyboard. Despite some minor issues I found the quality to be incredible. The keys are fantastic, the lighting is great, the design is top notch, and the wrist rest and cables are also sturdy. Would...

This keyboard has served me well for almost a year. I'm writing this review with it right now. It retains its comfort since the day I bought it. The wrist rest has a soft rubber smooth texture with small nodes imprinted for friction. Overall it's a...

The lighting options are cool— they have individual key backlighting and good lighting level adjustment but for the same pricing other brands offer insane lighting modes like snaking, etc. I think there could be more profiles since there is only one...

Great Keyboard

If you're looking for your first mechanical keyboard, make sure you know what kind of keycaps you want. I play a wide array of games, and the red keys are very suited to twitch gameplay as they don't take much force at all to click. Personally I'd...

Simple, Sturdy Design ; This keyboard doesn't try to do anything too fancy. It's just well built. No overabundance of macro keys (You may not find this as a pro) ; It's a mechanical Keyboard ; Individual Backlit LEDs ; Keycaps are raised - makes it...

I've had issues with LEDs burning out. About 6 months into owning the keyboard I started to notice that my "g" key was burnt out. Not long after, my 6, 8, tab, q, and f8 keys were all out. I contacted corsair and sent the keyboard for an RMA. Corsair...

Over priced

Corsiar has good customer service and will refund or replace with diffrent model

l.e.d lights in keys suck started to die even on barely used keys seems more like a short then a dead l.e.d as the ones that wont light do light a different key while reactive typing is enabled

Going downhill

This is a moderately expensive gaming keyboard, and the expectation is a more robust build that should certainly hold up to someone who only wanted mechanical keys, and pretty blue lights. I"m disappointed. Having to deal with a warranty repair, and...

Mechanical keys ; Adjustable lighting ; USB port ; Basic media controls (very handy and not over done) ; Keyboard is heavy enough to keep it from sliding around ; Metal construction ; Braided cable cover and reinforced at the ends ; Lettering is still...

I bought this keyboard last summer, and still have another year on the warranty. Initially I was annoyed that some of the keys were touchy and prone to insert letters when typing. The K key is my nemesis as a touch typist used to the home row. I'm...
