not good for typing

Somewhere there must be a good wireless keyboard at a good price; that will work good. Over the last 4 years I have gone through 4 wireless keyboard to use with my HTPC - 2 addesso's 1 rosewill, and this Gear Head. NON have lasted a full year and each...

It works and you "can" type with it. BUT........see cons for the but

I purchased this keyboard to use with my HTPC. It works good for that; the touch pad seems good. BUT, for typing - it sucks. It misses letters or sometimes after hitting a key, it will type up to half a line of the same letter (and my fingers will not...

Not for me

I threw it in the trash.

None

I've been a programmer/analyst for 20+ years and the keyboard is like my right hand. I find the key contacts are poor and a few of the keys are awkwardly placed

Junk

Good idea

Poorly executed. Does not work more than a few feet away from adapter. Track pad becomes erratic and unreliable. So, what's the point

Overpriced Junk

What a tremendous letdown, I was really excited about this one. Had it worked properly, it would've fit the bill perfectly as my htpc keyboard and mouse. That, and it is a bit expensive for what it is, I'm not sure how they justify the hefty cost. I...

Love the shape, the laptop keyboard feel. The design is truly spectacular in concept, could've been a great HTPC control center. See cons

That touchpad. Yikes. I'm not sure how this happened, we've been making touchpads for nearly two decades now, but somehow Gear Head didn't get it right. The touch pad absolutely has a mind of its own, sometimes refusing to move at all, sometimes...

Interference issues

I've used other wireless devices and interference is not an uncommon problem. It is OK enough, but I'm not thrilled by it and I wouldn't recommend it to someone else. I would consider getting a bluetooth keyboard next time.

Wireless. The volume control buttons are nice--I wish they had a "mute" button though (only has volume up, down, and then stop and play/pause) ; It is truly plug-and-play with Windows 7

seems to be prone to interference. I suspect the problem lies with my other 2.4Ghz devices, but not sure. The RF transmitter must be on the botom of the keyboard because I have problems when I have the keyboard on my lap. It is OK if you need the...

Great for the price

There's no scroll wheel or zone, but the touchpad is multitouch capable, meaning the standard two-finger scroll/open link in new tab etc works (at least in Windows 7). Treat it like a modern netbook or laptop touchpad. I can't speak for what extra...

Works very well for the price ; Light, thin, and sized perfectly - about 12" diagonally, like a tablet ; Used at 9-12ft range for an HTPC setup, with no lag or signal issues ; At one month on the included alkaline batteries, haven't seen the battery...

spacebar seems to hit corners sometimes, making it..."crunchy", but this doesn't happen often enough to be an issue ; it sleeps often (good for the batteries). tap any key to wake it up, though ; numlock on at startup means the function key numpad is...
