Budget wireless keyboard

Budget-level keyboards like the HP Wireless Elite aren't reviewed very often -- and when they are, reviewers usually prefer more expensive models. That said, the HP Wireless Elite scores well among user reviews on Amazon.com, due to its sleek design...

Wireless at a budget price, sleek design, nice key feel

Long-term durability is an issue, no caps lock indicator, bright receiver light, some users report wireless connectivity issues

HP Wireless Elite Desktop Keyboard and Mouse Review

A couple of weeks ago, Julie offered me the HP Wireless Elite Keyboard for review. Since HP states that the product “complements any PC system”, and since Judy didn't mind that I had only a laptop, I happily agreed to give it a try. I was surprised...

Keyboard operation is smooth and quiet ; Mouse and keyboard use single wireless receiver ; Has a numeric keypad ; Has video playback controls and volume controls

Wireless receiver has a very bright, continually blinking blue LED ; Keyboard has no status lights for Caps Lock and Num Lock ; Bottom keys are too close to the edge of the keyboard for comfortable typing

A keyboard for professionals

After trying a lot of MS and Logitech keyboards in various shops I came across this HP keyboard which came with an HP desktop system. The sales guy told me 'it is only sold with a unit' --- sure enough, the next computer shop sold it separately. Not...

Solid build, high-quality feel, quiet, clear design, excellent key response, small footprint, volume control, well-placed large 'Delete' key

Transmitter flashes bright blue with every keystroke - paint it, black ; Some users would prefer to get an additional palm rest - there is just the bottom edge ; F9-F11 not working with my Sony notebook, not sure if they can be hacked somehow

Outstanding keyboard and mouse with minor annoyances!

After moving back to Windows from Macs I miss the beautiful Apple aluminium keyboard. This one fits the bill with laptop style short key travel, quiet keys, low profile and perfect key feedback. The mouse is great too: smooth movement, responsive,...

Great for those who like laptop style keyboards ; Good value for the money ; Compares well with Apple aluminium keyboards

Piercing blue USB receiver light ; No indication of CAPS and NUM lock status ; Some FN key combos don't work with non HP PCs

Amazing if you know what you're getting into.

This keyboard is exactly what I was looking for. It's fast, has scissor switches, low profile, registers key presses with a light touch, and is small enough to not clutter my desk. I find no fault with this keyboard, as it's perfect for my needs....

The keyboard is excellent under certain conditions only. You have to want a scissor switch keyboard with fast travel (2.5mm-3.0mm.,) be a touch typist who likes low profle keyboards, and you have to like matte finish keys without the rubber coating

I only had a minor annoyance with the keyboard, and it's when you have the receiver plugged in it blink blue whenever you use the keyboard. I wrapped it in electrical tape though, and plugged it into the back of my case. "Problem" solved

Sleek, exactly what I was looking for.... until...

2. USB receiver blue light lights up on EVERY keystroke, this may either blind you or drive insane. Someone at dev dpt thought it would be a cool idea to make clear case for it and put extremely bright giant bulb. dont these items pass usability and...

great design, short key travel is incredible, snappy, thin

1. For some reason fails to communicate with the usb receiver it came with. Battery indicator shows OK. i hit some key and receiver may respond like 10 seconds later, never seen anything like this. replaced batteries. same story

Wonderful design - problems with compatibility.

I do really like the sleek design - typing papers is actually fun with this keyboard

I started having problems with Windows responding to the keyboard. After spending more than the bottom-line price for a keyboard, I shouldn't have to restart my computer every once in a while just because my keyboard stopped functioning properly

started fine. after 3 months, began to lose keys

1st red flag: attempt to register the keyboard online failed due to "invalid serial number." After 3 months regular use, an increasing number of keys failed to register when struck. Contacted HP CS, and though I always spoke with someone, each...

low profile, soft touch, wireless

once the keyboard began to fail, HP customer service was ultimately no help. Although 24/7 assistance is available, calling during normal US business hours may yield better results
