Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000

If Apple's keyboards, with their extreme thinness and laptop-stylekeys, resemble an underfed model, all waiflike and delicate,Microsoft's usual offerings look like they've been bulking up with IsoMass Xtreme Gainer protein powder. Their wireless...

Sleek design. Portable number pad. Batteries included

No Eject key. No light for the Caps Lock key. Command key has a Windows logo on it--can't we get a Command-symbol stick to slap on there

Microsoft ought to make a Mac-specific version of this keyboard, but even as is, it's a winner for its comfort design, good looks, and portability.

The Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000 is a great starter keyboard for those that want added comfort in their typing experience.

Comfort curve. Simple design. Slim profile. Bluetooth. Great starter keyboard. Comes with separate numeric keypad

Setup can be a bit intimidating

Some people like to have as many features as humanly possible. If there's room for another button or dial, they want to have it in there. Other people prefer to ...

Very compact and slim design makes for easy travel ; Comfort curve design for keyboard ; Versatile Bluetooth connectivity ; Separate numeric keypad

Pricey for “just a keyboard ; No stands to “prop up” the keyboard to a more ergonomic typing angle ; Delayed connection after period of inactivity ; Lack of dedicated home/end keys, extra function keys

Inside the box, you’ll get the comfort curve keyboard, the separate numeric keypad, a carrying pouch for the numeric keypad (but not for the keyboard), basic documentation, and three AAA alkaline batteries. At some point, you’ll probably want to swap...

Review: Microsoft Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000

The Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000's thinness and light weight make it ideal for travel, but it's a basic keyboard that will require you adjust to its design and layout.

Measuring 14 inches wide and 6.5 inches long, the Keyboard 6000 compares in size to the 11-by-5.25 inch Apple Wireless Keyboard. The Keyboard 6000 doesn’t rise up as much as Apple Wireless Keyboard—the top of the Keyboard 6000 rises a barely-noticeable...

Comfort Curve keyboard Microsoft's Comfort Curve encourages natural wrist posture and is easy to use.

Comfort Curve Design ; Bluetooth (no receiver to lose) ; Battery Indicator ; Carrying Case ; Compact & Portable Design ; Windows 7 Certified

Non rechargeable batteries ; Pricey ; For Bluetooth Users Only

Overall, I like this keyboard set very much. It is stylish and functional at the same time. The recommended price of $89.95 makes it a little bit pricey for a keyboard, although it does add the convenience of a mobile keyboard and number pad for users...

Double your display real estate by adding a second monitor. It's a snap: Here's how

Consumer review by:

I love love love the touch of this keyboard.

If they would make a version with this touch but with a cable instead of bluetooth I would give it a full 5 stars!

I am a bit of a keyboard fanatic and hate the mushy feel so many keyboards have. This keyboard has the perfect touch

I do find it a bit annoying that on first use it takes a couple of seconds to connect up (presumbly as a battery saving device)

Lightweight, slim but goes to sleep all the time!

Good keyboard but sleep and latency issues are very annoying and probably a show stopper for me, except when travelling where it's light weight and small size are strong features. Home and End on main KB are only available as awkward Fn shift with the...

Lightweight, slim, comfortable to use, nice feel, bluetooth connectivity frees USB port on notebook. Separate Number pad makes for small footprint on desk when it's not needed, also allows flexible work layout when it is

Battery powered so constantly timesout and goes to sleep. Is slugish and loses characters coming out of idle. No LED Caps Lock or Num Lock indications. Numlock functions on number pad have no legend overlay, so require memory or crib sheet to use

Consumer review by:

Very thin, very comfortable - and a solid number pad!

A great keyboard / num pad combo for any laptop or desktop user. If you use a 10 key - you'll love this with your laptop!

This is a great design. I was wondering how they can make comfort claims with something so small and thin, but this keyboard is very comfortable. Setup was easy and I love having a bluetooth number pad that I can take anywhere I go

It would have been nice to have a carry case for the keyboard (number pad has a case)
