Razer Naga Epic Review

5,600 dpi laser sensor; hybrid wireless/wired design; tons of buttons

Buttons take practice to use; no onboard memory; pricey

With the introduction of the Naga Epic, Razer has split its highest gaming mouse tier into two segments. The Mamba is still the top-of-the-line general-purpose gaming mouse, but it’s now joined by the Naga Epic, which runs the same high MSRP ($130) but...

Razer Anansi Review

The Anansi is Razer’s MMO keyboard, a companion to the company’s Naga MMO gaming mouse. Functionally, it’s very similar to the BlackWidow Ultimate—both have fully rebindable keys, with five additional macro keys along the left, backlighting, and...

Razer Blade (2012)

In the world of gaming laptops, the new Razer Blade (2012) brings a few things to the table that you won't find anywhere else. Trackpad and display are wed in the innovative Switchblade interface, and the Blade offers unrivaled portability with a slim...

Unrivaled portability for a gaming laptop. Innovative Switchblade UI. Decent gaming performance. Intel Core i7-3632QM quad-core processor. Nvidia GeForce GTX 660M graphics processor. Hybrid drive provides speedy performance

Expensive, given the components. No optical drive. No traditional number pad. Small hard drive

Slim and sexy, the Razer Blade (2012) laptop offers lighter, more portable gaming, and the innovative Switchblade UI, but it will cost you, both in price and features.

Razer Blade (late 2012)

Razer has made a habit of catching us off guard -- breaking the mold as an accessory manufacturer by building laptops, prototype game handhelds and controller-toting tablets. Their Blade laptop cut through our expectations as well, featuring a...

Fast and powerful ; Excellent build quality ; Slim, beautiful design ; Good battery life (for a gaming laptop)

Audio is still lackluster (though it has improved) ; Switchblade UI has potential, but needs work

Razer's second-generation Blade is what we wanted the original to be: fast, powerful, and impossibly thin for a machine in this class. Unfortunately, it's still almost as expensive as ever.

Razer Blade (2012)

The second-generation Razer Blade crams a new Core i7 CPU and high-powered Nvidia graphics into a slim chassis with a one-of-a-kind gaming touchpad.

Elegant and slim design; Extremely portable; Impressive overall performance; Secondary screen and Switchblade UI can help gamers

Expensive; Runs hot on bottom during gameplay; Not as fast as bulkier rigs

Click to EnlargeWe didn't think it could be done. But Razer has managed to create a highly portable 17.3-inch gaming notebook that delivers remarkable performance for its size. Getting the new quad-core Core i7 CPU and Nvidia GTX graphics in a sleek...

Razer Naga Epic mouse

Razer had a reasonable idea when it designed the Naga Epic mouse for players of massively multiplayer online games. Games like World of Warcraft, Eve Online, and Rift tend to involve complex control schemes, so why not offer committed players a mouse...

The Razer Naga Epic wireless gaming mouse features a 12-button thumb-side keypad, a 5,600dpi laser sensor, customizable pinkie-side inserts, and LED backlighting.

Using those 12 buttons well takes some getting used to, and the mouse doesn't offer quite as much value as competing high-end gaming mice.

It's not the most elegant mouse, nor does it feel worth the $130 price, but Razer's Naga Epic and its built-in, 12-button keypad could help gamers and others gain mastery over MMOs and other applications with complicated control schemes.

Razer Naga Epic

Razer's ultimate version of its Naga gaming mouse, the Razer Naga Epic, makes the best case for its use by MMO lovers. But a few key imperfections remain.

Attractive design, lighting schemes. Cordless. Replaceable grips. Good configuration software. Surprisingly easy to learn

Expensive. For right-handed gamers only. Grips can be frustrating to swap. Inconvenient browser navigation buttons. Unstable charging cradle
