Roccat Isku Illuminated Gaming Keyboard

The Roccat Isku is a solid gaming keyboard with good overall functionality, but a few details about it might not appeal to everyone.

Offers up to 25 programmable macros. Easy on-the-fly macro recording. Roccat Talk lets you pair with another device for enhanced functionality

Integrated wrist rest makes for a giant footprint. Key labels can be difficult to read in low light. Backlight color not adjustable

Roccat Isku Illuminated Gaming Keyboard

It's hot, busy, and it's review time here at BCCHardware. Testing products at BCCHardware can have its ups and downs as some products are easy and some can be hard. It's usually a good time though. ROCCAT, a company In Germany makes gaming gear for the...

Good price ; Talks with mouse ; Illumination ; Sturdy ; Letters don't smudge off ; Easy to record macros ; Lots of macro keys

The ISKU Illuminated Gaming Keyboard from ROCCAT seems to be pretty good, sturdy and tough. It's a solid gaming keyboard and the keys never fell apart and even after pretty heavy use over the past months and-a-bit, the letters and numbers haven't...

COMPUTER SHOPPER - GOOD FOR GAMING

Roccat Isku Illuminated Gaming Keyboard

Surrounding the U.S. launch of its line of 2012 gaming gear, PC-gaming hardware maker Roccat Studios has tried to create buzz around its new products with a Web site themed "Isn't PC Gaming Dead?" Judging by the interest in gaming desktops and gaming...

Subtle blue backlighting ; Wealth of customizable keys ; Highly intuitive customization software

A little pricey for a non-mechanical board ; Partial piano-gloss finish is prone to fingerprints

The Isku has more customization potential than most PC-gaming keyboards on the market, with outstanding driver software that makes tweaking easy. It's a great fit for macro- and shortcut-happy PC gamers (though definite overkill for productivity apps).

Excellent Board

I was bummed that New Egg shipped this only in its display box - but it came through fine. Whew! I wanted a Razor keyboard to match my mouse - but the reviews were bad. Processing an RMA on a Cooler Master board - so I went with Roccat, and now I'm...

Good key feel - very responsive - slight tactile and audio feedback - reasonably quiet - slightly concave keys - adjustable backlighting - programmable macro keys - thumb macro keys - works as advertised - software is very functional (but you need to...

No USB or audio ports - large footprint

rollover

Just for the money I expected to not have rollover issues. No other problems otherwise. Three eggs is mainly for the rollover.

Bunch of features for gaming, extra mod keys. Software has worked OK for me on win8. Keys feel good with even pressure. Construction seems solid compared to other keyboards

Use the board for MMOs and it has a rollover issue shift+WASD (any combo of 2) then 4 key causes the 4 to not be recognized, sort of a big deal when you have bindings to an action bar. Tested in word to confirm. It could just be the one I got as it...

Fantastic Keyboard!

Let me start by saying that the biggest features you should be looking at are the THUMB KEYS and the EASYSHIFT+, unique to the ROCCAT ISKU. The other reviews go over the other things quite well, so I'm going to elaborate on these two features. The...

Going to compare to the RAZER ANANSI, since it's the only other keyboard I know of with thumb keys ; THUMB KEYS. Main selling point, IMO. 3 vs 7 keys - easier to learn - and they are backlit (the Anansi's are not. Seriously, not backlighting keys the...

May have 5 profiles. Anansi allows 10 ; May not customize every key - only the function keys, the media keys, the M1-5 keys on the left side, the T1-3 keys (thumb), and the first five keys going from left to right on the main portion of the keyboard...

Looks awesome

Looks, free t-shirt, macros, ghosting did i say it looks awesome

If you seat properly ull see the lighting just fine but if you the type that likes to lay back in ur chair the letters will obscure about half way bc of the angle but still, half a letter I don't know about you, I can still figure out which one it is,...

ROCCAT ROC-12-701

Have not been able to find one way or another on the keys being mechanical or not. I am assuming not, but it definitely reacts much faster than a standard keyboard. I switched to the Roccat from the Razer Anansi and the action is much much quicker.

Sleek, sexy, fast, backlights, essentially plug-n-play ; Extreme degree of customization and user-defined settings ; German-quality engineering ; Keys are fast and easy

None so far, for the price it's hard to beat it ; Adjusting for the M1- M5 on the left side can take a little getting used to, but fat-fingering them does not have any consequences that I've found

I WANT ONE SO BAD

I have wanted one since it first came out, I wanted a keyboard from them since before they even were sold in the U.S. Whats not to love its German engineering... Nothing is ever bad about German engineering just about.

Most amazing keyboard I have ever seen

None minus it didn't come to the U.S. for sales until recently
