Roccat Ryos MK Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

Today we are taking a look at a mechanical keyboard from Roccat; they sent us their Ryos MK with black Cherry MX switches. How well does this feel vs the other competitors from companies like Razer and Thermaltake for example? Lets find out! About...

Comfortable ; Cherry mx switches ; Good software ; M keys if you like those

Cable not sleeved

You can pick up this keyboard for around 159$ so the price tag is fairly ok compared to the competitors. Overall, this is both a comfortable and good quality keyboard. Simply put, a VERY nice product! The keys are a bit stiff at first but after using...

ROCCAT Ryos MK Review

The first mechanical keyboard from the makers of the Kone Pure and XTD comes complete with Cherry MX Black switches and at a pretty attractive price to boot.

Mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Black switches ; 8 Macro Keys ; 5 Profiles ; Easy-Shift[+] functionality doubles available keybinds ; ROCCAT Talk allows greater synergy with other ROCCAT peripherals ; Excellent NKRO ; Very competitive price

No illumination ; Software functionality surpassed by competition

ROCCAT’s Ryos MK is a study in contrasting impressions. Perhaps that’s a consequence of its cost-conscious design, or simply the newness of the keyboard, but the dichotomy between hardware and software is pronounced.

Exactly What I Was Looking For

This is my second keyboard from Roccat, and my first mechanical keyboard. I was a bit worried that I would hate it, as the last time I tested a mechanical gaming keyboard, the key switches felt 'grindy' and seemed to stick if not pressed right in the...

It's very sturdy and won't slide around on the desk ; Backlit keys are bright and easy to see ; Driver software is simple to use and the settings save quickly ; It's not a fingerprint magnet ; It has a really thick braided cord which feels very solid,...

LEDs can be a little TOO bright, though it is easily fixable in the software ; Less feedback from the linear switches could increase typing mistakes, but I knew that when I chose them ; No assigned key/button for toggling the windows key on and off. It...

Software doesn't work, Support stopped replying.

I am goign to return this keyboard and purchase a K95 RGB since it doesnt have these problems and has MORE features for 20$ more.

Mechanical keys ; great raised Wrist rest ; colored lights ; Headphone mic jack and usb slots ; software

Plastic, ALL OF IT ; more indented design ; Really strange macro keep system ; SOFTWARE DIDNT WORK ; SUPPORT STOPPED REPLYING ; Awkward placment of the USB and Audio jacks ; Strange T1-T3 Keys ; Spacing of all the keys is close together ; WEIRD stuff...

Almost perfect

I wish the software was easier to program, there's so many more things that can be done with the lighting, I've seen a couple example online of what people have done, but no one is sharing. After a couple months the LED behind the '3' key has died....

Looks great. Feels great. Brown switches are awesome. Good software. Love the thumb buttons and Shift key

I find myself hitting the macro keys too easily, there's no tactile difference between them and the other keys and often I will hit M5 instead of ctrl or M1 instead of ~. The software is easy to use but it has so much more potential that is out of the...

One Beaut of a Keyboard!!

As i tried the Roccact Kone XTD mouse i decided to give there first Mechanical board a try and am not disappointed at all. The software comes packed with dozens of customizable options, Sweet built-in features, and a solid upgrade to mechanical...

Mechanical board with multi colored switches to choose from ; Backlit keys for those who play in the dark ( with manual key sets to which keys illuminate) ; Built in USB and Audio pass through connection right on the board ; Roccat software allows huge...

For those looking for multu color backlit it only comes in Blue.. But hey Roccat blue is great ; Wrist rest can't be removed. For some may be an issue I prefer it

First Mechanical Keyboard

I've been using it for over a month now and love it. Honestly, the only reason I got this one and not the Ryos glow, was because t he glow didn't come with cherry blue keys. However, this keyboard really does feel top notch. I've only played WoW on it...

Solid ; Brightness levels ; Roccat talk is awesome ; Thumb keys

none at this time

Incredibly sturdy, well built, more than comfortable ; Best keyboard I have ever owned

Like everyone else is saying, I had one LED go out in the first year.... But in the last 6 months, i have had 8 keys die. Not a huge deal to me ; BUT THE THING THAT REALLY MAKES ME WANT TO POUR TOBASCO IN MY URETHRA. the cables.... If my foot so much...

This Keyboard is a tough one.... for a gamer who every now and then may get a bit angry, pounding on this key board has proved to me that its build to take a beating. great design i love how you can choose the key press you want either being very...

My only issue is that i wish this keyboard was able to support RGB Color ; Blue is nice but more color would be even better

Solid keyboard.

The software can be tricky to figure out at first, but after about 10 minutes of trial and error anyone should be able to figured it out. Was playing a friends GW2 account a while back to help him level up. We each have very different keybinds from one...

Build quality is solid ; Fully programmable ; MX-Black keys

Price ; Non-removable wrist rest ; Large footprint ; Software isn't intuitive
