Roccat Ryos MK Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

Today we are taking a look at a mechanical keyboard from Roccat; they sent us their Ryos MK with black Cherry MX switches. How well does this feel vs the other competitors from companies like Razer and Thermaltake for example? Lets find out! About...

Comfortable ; Cherry mx switches ; Good software ; M keys if you like those

Cable not sleeved

You can pick up this keyboard for around 159$ so the price tag is fairly ok compared to the competitors. Overall, this is both a comfortable and good quality keyboard. Simply put, a VERY nice product! The keys are a bit stiff at first but after using...

ROCCAT Ryos MK Glow mechanical gaming keyboard review

When it comes to PC gaming, one of the sounds you hate to hear is that “beep!” when you've pressed down too many keys. This is due to most average keyboards having a set number of keys allowed to be pressed at the same time. The way to combat this is...

Excellent tactile feel ; Very reactive keys ; Easy to program macros ; Sturdy and heavy enough to not slide around on your desk

Not for small desks

ROCCAT Ryos MK Review

The first mechanical keyboard from the makers of the Kone Pure and XTD comes complete with Cherry MX Black switches and at a pretty attractive price to boot.

Mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Black switches ; 8 Macro Keys ; 5 Profiles ; Easy-Shift[+] functionality doubles available keybinds ; ROCCAT Talk allows greater synergy with other ROCCAT peripherals ; Excellent NKRO ; Very competitive price

No illumination ; Software functionality surpassed by competition

ROCCAT’s Ryos MK is a study in contrasting impressions. Perhaps that’s a consequence of its cost-conscious design, or simply the newness of the keyboard, but the dichotomy between hardware and software is pronounced.

Solid keyboard.

The software can be tricky to figure out at first, but after about 10 minutes of trial and error anyone should be able to figured it out. Was playing a friends GW2 account a while back to help him level up. We each have very different keybinds from one...

Build quality is solid ; Fully programmable ; MX-Black keys

Price ; Non-removable wrist rest ; Large footprint ; Software isn't intuitive

LOVE this keyboard. Made very well, performs well. Love the feel of it & weight of it. Like it so much I am considering getting one for my work setup! No other mechanical keyboard compares

So far, immaculate.

I'll update this after a full year. So far, this is a great keyboard for gaming at a reasonable price.

Responsive, intuitive, comfortable. Also, I got it for reasonably cheap

None so far

Pretty sharp

Despite the flaws and the 4 eggs I really like this keyboard. For all around use it is perfect for my needs.

Very heavy so it does not slide around on the desk at all. Even during intense gaming this guy will not budge, which to me is a great thing. I personally think cherry blacks are the best for gaming. I tried the red and found them way to sensitive..and...

You have to go online to download the driver to fully get this keyboard to work. Also right out of the box the "caps lock" button does not is change to some other hotkey used for macros and such. So basically you have to get the driver...

Big and Heavy

Maybe I will figure out how to love this, but so far, not wonderful.

Does not move around - heavy with good rubber feet

Software setup is NOT intuitive. I am a software developer and this thing is poorly documented ; The KEYS are nearly illegible when not lit because the print is GRAY on BLACK. Just stupid ; Got the BROWN key switches which are supposed to be NOT...

More show than greatness

I t is pretty expensive for a keyboard and comes in an impressive box. Once you use it it feels not productive and because there is no guide you can not implement and just test for show the programming features. I would never use them later anyhow. The...

Looks good and has backlit keys; it is heavy what gives it a stable positioning

The technology might be cool for show but is unproductive. The key fonts are not ergonomic. The illumination can not be adapted continuous but in to big steps. The features may be plentyfull but nobody needs all of it and the worse is that there is no...

Excellent keyboard

Overall, I would say an 9/10, only one color LED and rather limited preset of OS controls for the keyboard programmed it. Functionally perfect and the bells and whistles are definitely worth it. Gave it 5 stars on new Egg despite an 9/10 as my grips...

Definitely everything I was looking for. As I keep my room rather dark, with only the two desktop monitors and one laptop monitor with any illumination, it helps to have the lighted keys. The function keys are useful, not the best, but when combined...

Among the things that caught me were that the LEDs were only solid blue, I would have preferred red in general, but the timer to disable the lighting makes up for that in a big way. It was nice to get a set of hotkeys preprogrammed, but you can add...
