The best gear for gamers: Buy this and frag happy

Console gamer, PC gamer, or somewhere in between? There's something shiny here for all tastes and budgets.

The price is right ; Just the right amount of key customization options

Would be much better with mechanical keys

ROCCAT Isku FX Gaming Keyboard Review

Recently ROCCAT updated one of their keyboards, the Isku, branding the new model Isku FX. We liked the original Isku model though we had some small changes which we would have liked to have seen in order to make the keyboard really stand out. So today...

Roccat Isku FX gaming keyboard

A solid, no-nonsense keyboard aimed at gamers

Solid and functional industrial design and build ; Easy to program macros ; Robust software

No mechanical keys ; Inconsistent button design and lighting

The Isku FX is solid keyboard that stands out through its practical design and macro functionality. However, lack of mechanical keys and design quirks stop it from being a must have.

Roccat Isku FX review

An improvement over the original Isku, but it's expensive for a non-mechanical gaming keyboard

Roccat Isku FX gaming keyboard hits all the right notes

There was a time when my de facto response for "which gaming keyboard should I buy" would've been something Razer-flavored--likely the Razer BlackWidow Ultimate ($140). Keyboard recommendations are serious business: You'll spend all of your work and...

I'm literally taking time out to write this review after having an older version of this keyboard. I can't begin to tell you how much I've fallen in love with this thing. It's the most comfortable keyboard I've ever owned. I've owned both Razor and...

Comfortable ; Lots of wrist space ; When I type, it feels smooth ; Lots of customization options ; Thumb macro buttons are awesome

Software wasn't the easiest to figure out

Decent keyboard, but not best at this price

They keyboard looks nice coming out of the box, is well packaged, and comes with marvelous software for configuration and key-lockouts if you need them. However, 100 dollars is a bit much for a membrane keyboard, and some of the feature of the software...

Solid backlighting, can toggle on the fly between keyboard modes, decent tactile feel for membrane keyboard, 5 bindable macro keys to the left of keyboard, good driver software

Some key combinations don't work (Specifically when holding shift during a game and trying to hit other buttons), media keys in awkward location and not backlit, backlighting only applies to keys (lights on keyboard are permanent bright blue), weird...

I am more than pleased with this purchase and the KONE XTD and the ISKU FX work in tandem just as advertised. I would be more than willing to make this purchase all over again, and am now looking at getting a ROCCAT mousepad to go along with my set.

What I love most about this keyboard is in all honesty, they comfortably. ROCCAT managed to hit the nail on the head with this design. Which comfortably is just as important for me as customization of keys since I stream on Twitch 4 days a week ; The...

I would have to say the first con right out of the box is that I didn't get a physical disk for driver installation. But, that's just being picky. In all honesty I didn't mind going to ROCCAT's site to get the drivers and software ; The only REAL con...

Close to perfect but not quite.

More lighting effects plz, otherwise awesome.

Looks good, feels good. Good build quality, keys are fine even though not mech. Lights are pretty good, needs more lighting effects built in to the software. Things like button ripple, or the lights change with music of a player. stuff like that....

Finger prints and smudges easily. glossy black is impossible to keeps shiny and clean

Surprisingly good

The guy who said the narrator for the driver software sounds like George Carlin was spot on. I giggled at that myself. The logo looks a lot like the Thundercats logo , which could be good or bad depending on your world-view of Thundercats.

I wanted to replace my ancient G15 when I built my new gaming rig, but I didn't have much budget left over for doo-dads. I went to Best Buy but they didn't seem to have the selection of keyboards they used to, and I didn't want a boring one. So I took...

The only real con I would give it is that the lighting on the number keys on the keyboard doesn't seem to cover the symbols on top completely. On mine, they sort of fade out a little near the top and it looks like the keys have dirt on them from a low...
