Bad USB design

I got the refurb. / open-box version for half-price so I won't add to the cons that it was full of cat hair and had food crumbs inside. I've taken the case apart. I think it should be possible to remove the mini-USB jack and solder the cable directly...

Key action is great. My first contemporary mechanical keyboard

The detachable USB cable is just terrible. I can think of no reason to have a detachable cable on a keyboard. The fact it's a mini-USB is just adding fuel to the fire. I couldn't get through one mission on Dishonored without it coming loose

Rosewill RK-9000BR

This keyboard feels great! very simple to use and great feedback on the keys. The keycaps have held up well, the only thing that broke was that the USB connector became loose after a while and it stopped working. Well so I called Rosewill after 2 years...

USB connector seems to be the weak link of this keyboard but the actually keyboard is fantastic

Best Keyboard I've Ever Owned

I would have liked the option of Cherry MX Black switches, as I do not need the tactile bump any more than I need the click mechanism (I'm somewhat heavy-handed on the keys). Also worthy of note, and I think it's mentioned in the product specs, you...

Small ; Quiet ; High quality ; Driverless ; I have little desk space, so small is always a bonus. I mostly use my PC for gaming, and like to keep quiet, so the Cherry MX Brown switches, lacking the click mechanism, are excellent and quiet, though not...

Not enough to dock an egg for, but the edges of the aluminium upper body are indeed sharp, as another reviewer noted on the Cherry Blue model of this keyboard

It will fail, just a matter of time

Keys are great. Red metal plate below keeps gives sturdy look

USB connector. Keyboard was on the single desk whole time. Just died one day - bad connection with mini USB. Such a disgrace to have only one thing that can fail and that thing fails for everybody every time. How NewEgg even can still sell this? Is the...

Clean Typing Machine

It's makes a great starter mechanical keyboard. Which allows you to decide if the more expensive units have the features like. Sure it has laser print keys and a questionable usb jack. However, in a later version Rosewill could return to unit with a...

Clean design ; Great key switches ; Braided cables for both usb and PS/2 ; Full n-key roll over with PS/2 ; 1 year labor and 3 year parts

Had to order from Newegg's page on a online Auctioning and store front site ; Needs O-ring dampers installed in keys to reduce noise and bottom out distance ; Laser print keys ; Usb Jack on keyboard

Not as good as expected

Better than membranes for sure

If I haven't used a blue switch, I may like this keyboard. However, I did. It's hard to get used to the brown switch as long as you are used to the tactile feeling of the blue switch

Not recommended. Poor build quality.

It lasted 2 1/2 years

USB port breaks apart and shorts it out. Realize that I have had this keyboard on an articulating keyboard "shelf" under my desk, so the keyboard and usb cable don't move hardly at all. I imagine it would have broken a lot sooner if I just had this...

Excellent Functional Keyboard

I bought this keyboard with the Cherry MX Brown switches specifically for work. I work as an engineer and must present technical reports sometimes ranging upwards of 20 pages. In addition, I write other documents and spend time each day...

1. Excellent mechanical switches (cherry mx browns) ; 2. Excellent aesthetic ; 3. Excellent build quality ; 4. Functional design without all of the fluff (leds, etc.)

1. None so far

Excellent Price, but Prone to Failure

Purchased 2 of these before I started having issues. I would not purchase these again if I could go back - save up, and go for something higher quality, even if it means spending nearly double.

Newer versions seem to have some epoxy under the USB connector on the board, which does seem to help a lot with preventing breakage on the solder joints since the solder isn't directly handling any movement stress ; Also, the RMA process is a breeze...

Older unit ; USB port broke - repairs ended up requiring me to solder wires from the cord directly to the board ; Key/Switch Broken: Asterisk key on NUM pad has stopped functioning, entirely, and looks like it will require soldering repair ; Newer Unit...
