Rosewill RK-9000RE

Mechanical Cherry MX Red switches are great. Feels great to type on (key caps are left to be a little less desired...read cons). Love the sound of each key bottoming out. They bottom out effortlessly which is great for gaming. Double tapping a key is...

One of my number keys on the num pad stopped working within a year (warranty just ended so cannot RMA...unfortunately) ; Key caps are ABS instead of PBT. They have a sleek feel that I do not really like. I like a softer key cap like that of the Corsair...

Good keyboard, but bad design

Rosewill should have recall this keyboard if possible.

very good mechanic keyboard, excellent typing feel, good built quality

USB connector design flaw makes this keyboard a total fail. Many people have already complained this, and now the happens to me as well

fantastic to type on

Feels amazing to type on

Some other customers are saying that the USB solder is bad, but I keep it always plugged in and haven't had a problem

Almost made it a year.

I'm an avid gamer so, naturally, I wanted to try out a mechanical keyboard. When I found this Rosewill on sale last year I jumped at the chance and was very happy with what I was seeing. The keys are VERY responsive to touch and there's no fluff at...

Fantastic quality, did everything I wanted when I wanted to. Replaced an old Logitech and never looked back

Purchased last year for black Friday as it was to good to pass up. Died yesterday ; Every Logitech keyboard I've had in the past has lasted me until I saw something shiny and new and purchased out of want. This time I'll be doing so out of necessity....

USB Connector Malfunction

It's a shame this thing has a connector issue, as they keys have more then held up to the abuse I put this keyboard through. I have witnessed no degredation of the pressure required to actuate any of the keys, only minor wear on the printed letters on...

Great keys for a great price. Uniform force required for all keys and I have not experienced any squeaking

After owning this keyboard for 9 months, I began to experience intermittent disconnects from the mini-USB connector. This has continued for ~2 weeks now. The solution is to unplug and replug the connector, but this is a major annoyance when it happens...

Count on the connector breaking

I got another keyboard for the office that has the same Cherry Red switches, so the same feel. And the cable is hard wired so I expect no problems.

Nice feel, like the old IBM keyboards I loved from the 286/386 days

The connector you attach the mini-USB cable to will break. I have lost lost two keyboards that way. I just got fed up with the second one and threw it across the room. It left a dent in my ceiling and little keys scattered all over the floor, Now I am...

Good keyboard, terrible construction

Would've been an awesome keyboard, but it's simply not reliable whatsoever. I would not recommend getting it until these major problems are fixed.

When it works, it's perfect

I've went through two of these keyboards, both of which had these common problems(as stated in many of the other negative reviews) ; 1. USB connector starts to fail intermittently after a few weeks and completely shortly thereafter ; 2. Enter key...

Great keyboard, poor build quality

My Rosewill RK-9000RE was less than 3 months old when I noticed wear on the typeface of the WASD keys. Keyboard action is as good as ever, and it does not affect my use of the device, but I am disappointed in the quality of the keycaps when I have had...

Solid base ; Silky smooth key action ; 6KRO on USB (haven't tested PS/2, claimed 18KRO) ; Great anti-ghosting

Premature wear on keycap typeface - visible wear on WASD keys after 3 months, average use with low to moderate gaming (<10 hrs/week)

Failed usb cable after 4 uses

It basically sits in my drawer for a year and has been used for 4 time. Then the cable failed at the tip and can only have a connection when bent at a certain angle. Think through before your purchase.

Good build quality for the keyboard it self

Does not last

Defective

Great while it worked. Good feel to the keys and responsive

The enter key quit working in July, purchased in April. Filed a warranty claim at the Rosewill Website. They said it was not problem to replace but filed through Newegg.com's RMA procedure. Newegg expects all original packaging. After it worked for a...
