Excellent hardware

I do the review now because my brother just told me he wants one.

Three full years of service and still work great. (Bought 7-2011. 2 lithium battery every 18 months. Control perfectly the computer behind the TV

Absolutely none

Would not recommend

Not worth the trouble I have had to deal with. Turns movie time into frustrated yelling at the keyboard time.

The keyboard layout is nice, the feel of the keys is nice, and an integrated touch pad makes it seem ideal for a media machine that you need to control from the couch

The range is terrible, 10 feet from the receiver which is in direct line of site and it still only registers half the time. When typing a password or url only half the keys register. When used infrequently the mouse will stop responding until a key is...

Alright for the price

Haven't tried out the range of it, currently using it at about 5' from the receiver with LOS.

Everything works, very lightweight and compact, feels pretty durable

Scrolling can be a bit herky jerky, tends to overscroll a bit, sometimes repeats keystrokes, for the most part it works well though, I'm thinking my issue is RF interference related. I did type this review on it with very little issue

Perfect

Buy it! Good product. It's a laptop keyboard basically.

I can't say enough about how impressed I was when I installed this on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. All I did was put batteries in the keyboard, and plugged in the USB wireless receiver. I expected a message about installing drivers, or something, but nothing...

Device ID button on bottom of keyboard to easy to push with finger while holding keyboard, or picking it up. That did cause a 1 - 2 minute gap in functioning, but it paired itself back up without issue. Just have to remember it's there

i creates a kiosk for my wifes restaurant and found this at a local computer store (fry). hooked it up and no signal.... waited about 3mins and it finally started working. noticed when people were putting in their info the buttons would over type....

keyboard and mouse pad all in one

cheap plastic, range sucks, this product is very hit and miss most of the time

Great for HTPC applications

Great for my HTPC that I built, small + good battery life. I use it 15 ft away from the computer and it works fine. overall a great wireless keyboard for the money, cant beat it. five eggs OOOOO

Not really a con but need to mention it anyway I have a wireless router that does seem to affect the track pad speed when I use it on the left side of my living room. when I use it directly in front of it at the same distance there is no problem. My...

Multi-touch mouse pad!

Make sure to turn off "Num lock at boot" in your BIOS settings (unless you like this behavior). This is stated on page 6 in the manual for the keyboard under the heading "Numeric Keypad" (R.T.F.M.). All in all, this is a great keyboard for the price....

Perfect size for an HTPC keyboard. Almost exactly the same size as the keyboard on my HP EliteBook 8530w laptop, which is one of the better laptop keyboards I've ever used. I have large hands and this keyboard works perfect for me ; The multi-touch...

It would be nice to have some programmable buttons in addition to the Home, Search, Favorites, and E-mail buttons (these are configurable in Windows) ; It would be nice to have a mute button. However, you can use F8 in Windows Media Center to mute the...

NUMLOCK is a BIOS setting...

Blackspire: You can change the default setting for the NUMLOCK key in your bios settings; it doesn't have anything to do with the keyboard. Most motherboards have the NUMLOCK on by default because typical keyboards have separate number and alpha keys,...

Nothing to add here

Really nice

This keyboard is perfect for my HTPC. When I need to do more than what I can do with my IR Remote control, this keyboard works very well. In fact, it is nearly the exact same size as my Lenovo X301 keyboard. I'm so glad I didn't purchase a standard...

Works even with USB dongle hidden from view from 15+' away ; Light and somewhat rugged ; Built in hot keys are a helpful addition ; The palmrest is a nice touch, makes it feel more like a laptop ; Keys are well sized for the most part ; has F-keys ;...

wish it had a trackpoint (like lenovos) ; on system startup, NUMLock is active by default...have to disable it on every boot ; for such a high price, I would have expected a nicer overall build quality or material feel...but still it's rugged...

SIIG JK-WR0312-S1 Black 88 Normal Keys USB RF Wireless Keyboard

Bought this for the wife for in-bedroom htpc and she love's it! Connection was instant, no loss of signal no matter which angle you are from the wireless reciever, and the touchpad is very sturdy and works very well. Over all, well worth the price

None so far, but I've only had it for a week
