Good quality sound but...

If you are going to abuse the hell out of this keyboard, and don't really care about macro keys or backlights, wait for a sale and buy this.

Durable - This thing is freaking solid. If you have a habit of punching your keyboard after your noob teammates lose the game for you, this one can take the hit ; Cherry MX Black Switches - These switches take marginally more force to press, reducing...

Simple - No flashy lights or touch screens or any of that nonsense. For the price tag, you'd at least expect macro keys ; Size - Others have complained about the size, and it did take a while to get used to the keys being closer together. Constantly...

Works but switches and spacebar are poorly designed

For $15 more the Corsair K70 is a much better design with more features.

Mechanical switches, decent key layout

the spacebar is horrible. if you the left or right side of the spacebar the opposite side will raise up and not register space bar key strokes

This thing is a brick

It didn't come with a wrist rest, but that was easily fixed by picking up a cheap $5 one from the store. The keyboard has a strange size and layout so you cannot replace all of the keycaps if they break No backlighting, but I knew that when buying it....

I have used keyboards mainly rubber dome keyboards and chiclet keyboards, but I decided to get myself a mechanical keyboard at last ; 1. Very Sturdy, almost no flex to it ; 2. Cherry MX Blacks feel great, a bit stiff compared to what I was used to but...

No cons in terms of functionality

Don't buy direct from SteelSeries

I bought This keyboard from SteelSeries directly since they had a sale around Christmas. The keyboard shipped the following week (whatever, Christmas time, but they said orders are processed on the 27th). First, I had to contact support to get my order...

Good action ; Mostly standard key layout ; Tactile

Keys a bit stiff ; Right shift is tiny and the | key is right next to it. This creates a lot of typos if you use the right shift AT ALL ; Very basic mechanical keyboard ; SteelSeries support is really slow and bad at getting back to you

Died after five months

Bummed it stopped working, was great while it lasted. Very annoyed something so expensive died like that.

Good mechanical keyboard ,nice while it lasted

Same problem as every one else with the usb in the back. Doesn't seem loose but stopped working. For this price you would expect better quality. Will RMA and try to replace at least. Steer clear of this one or you'll wind up like the rest of us

Mediocre keyboard; not very durable

The fact that the keys began to chatter only after 1 year of use is enough for me to discontinue purchasing SteelSeries products in general. Be wary when purchasing this keyboard--multiple key presses are far from ideal when gaming and it can cause...

This keyboard is quite heavy and will not move when you type on it. Also, it's a lot quieter than its Cherry MX Blue/Red counterpart. The only sound that is made is the key bottoming out

After a little over 1 year of use, my [1] and [5] keys experience very frequent chatter. Chatter = one key press registers multiple times. Those are the keys I use frequently in Starcraft 2 (1 for army, 5 for hatcheries), so after 1 year of use, it...

Steelseries disappointment

i highly doubt i'll buy from steelseries again and will stop recommending their products to my friends

it was good while it lasted

I'm really angry at steelseries. i really used to love their products but both this keyboard and the xai mouse i bought have broken just after a little year of use. i treated them well too ; the s key on the keyboard in particular does not even work...

My Second...

I have one of these that I've been using for almost a year now. And I really enjoy it for both typing (I'm a touch typist) and playing games. I looked for other alternatives. But couldn't find them from a company that I felt I could trust. And my...

Cherry MX Black switches are what I wanted here. I prefer their feel ; This is Highly durable keyboard that performs flawlessly in games ; However, this is a "No Frills" keyboard which means less is likely to go wrong with it

Some of the keys may require acclimation if you aren't used to this type of layout ; I've heard of the lettering on the keys "wearing out", but I don't have this issue with one that's seen daily use for almost a year

Nice Keyboard

This uses cherry black switches which have slightly higher actuation force than the other mechanical keyboards. I personally like this and the overall design of the switches for the fact that they don't need to be bottomed out to register.

All mechanical cherry black switches ; Normal sized keys and good key placement ; The only clicks it makes are if you bottom out the keys so if you absolutely need to be quiet while typing it's not entirely impossible ; N-key rollover with the PS2...

None really
