Unique product that mostly works

 

No PC component lasts forever, especially ones you use a lot. If you go in knowing that you may have to buy another one (or send back under warranty) after a year or two, then the benefits outweigh the negatives. Steel Series (used to be Ideazon) makes...

Kirzania - Is your tray icon green, or red? Go to their new website (steelseries.com) and open a trouble ticket. My Zboard stopped working in Vista after some windows updates. They emailed me a Fix (.exe) file that I ran & it got it working perfectly...

I am on my second (or third?) base unit. They simply go bad after a while. Plus the base is NOT cheap at $50 for each one. Keysets are $20 or a bit more for each one

Great... at first.

 

Do NOT buy it. I'm SO glad I bought this at a going out of business sale. If I had paid full price for the base and all the key-sets, I would really be kicking myself. Side note: I had lots of issues with reinstalling ZEngine and doing Windows updates....

For a year, this keyboard was the best. I could swap out key-sets when I needed to work (for the numpad) and then when I wanted to play (for the specialty keys.) Love the layout and I have the BC key-set too. Makes finding keys I need easier and...

More or less died after a year or so. I did more research online to find I wasn't the only one. Most had problems after only a few months, I was lucky. Turned on my comp, booted up WoW and ... nothing. None of the special keys worked. Uninstalled,...
