Targus Versavu Keyboard and Case for iPad 2

The first case we ever saw for Apple's iPad 2 was the Targus Versavu. A thick, leather case with a unique center pivot, the Versavu is a stand-type case folio that can fold back to display the iPad 2 in portrait or landscape mode. With the plethora of...

Targus' Versavu Keyboard and Case has excellent construction; the iPad can pivot to landscape and portrait views thanks to an innovative circular mount.

The keyboard keys are excellently made but the squished layout will throw off experienced typers. Also, landscape orientation doesn't offer as much screen tilt and typing comfort as portrait mode.

The Targus Versavu Keyboard and Case for the iPad 2 offers excellent protection and solid build, but beware of awkward viewing angles and a keyboard that's compressed too much for our tastes.

Targus Versavu Keyboard and Case for iPad 2 Review

I love my iPad 2 and I use it for everything – surfing, reading, email, apps, you name it. The one thing I don't like to do with the iPad 2 is enter large amounts of text. I'm a true touch-typist, and the virtual keyboard turns me into a slow,...

Compact, for a keyboard case ; Keyboard has a nice feel and is responsive ; Function keys that control some features of the iPad 2 ; Is a very attractive case that's not black

Non-standard keyboard

Reviews: Targus Versavu Keyboard and Case for iPad 2

Just as with its predecessor, Versavu holds the iPad 2 in place with a form-fitting rear shell—in fact, it appears to be exactly the same as 360°—and the closed case is quite thick. The top and bottom edges of the tablet still have thin strips of...

It’s unfortunate that in the four and a half months between shipping 360° Rotating Stand & Case for iPad 2 and Versavu Keyboard and Case, Targus was not able to improve on some of the issues we saw with the original B-minus-rated case design, and...

Good Product

Product makes a IPad more work friendly for many applications. Some that we have tried over time, do not hold up to this products standards.

Poor design that ruins iPad's protective cover

I liked the keyboard at first, but as i used it more and more, there are several things wrong with the design of this keyboard/folder. 1) The ridges along each side of the keyboard cause dimples/airbubbles in the iPad protector sheet along the outside...

looks sharp

poor design, deteriorates ipad protective cover, bluetooth is slow to react, fabric tears easily

Nice, but don't like the special keys

Product looks great and works well, but I don't like the special keys needed for ? / : ; { } [ ] I'm used to a regular keyboard and use one most of the time. The keyboard needs to be redesigned to replicate a traditional keyboard. And, I don't get a...

looks good, easy to use, matches with ipad quickly

not a traditional keyboard, no battery low warning, keyboard is small

This case had me from the moment I saw it - WOW

Total November surprise - getting my iPad2. Not negotiable - getting a case with it. From Apple store in the King of Prussia mall to the Best Buy store up on the hill. Was considering the smart cover against a total wrap cover, and then came upon this...

easy on easy off, durable reliable, battery lasts and lasts on one overnight charge

slightly annoying key layout not a dealbreaker

Sturdy hard leather case with nice keyboard

I love this case and keyboard. Keyboard is easy to get used to. I particularly like the shortcut keys above the numbers. I also loved that I could position the iPad2 in either portrait or landscape view. A suggestion would be to put the power button...

hard leather case, easy-to-get-used-to keyboard, swivel from portrait-to-landscape position

power button battery light hidden when propped, keys do not light up
