Not an everyday keyboard

I'm glad it wasn't too expensive.

It did work and has a very small foot print. Would be ideal for a pc that you only sometimes need to interact with

I wish I would have looked at the pics better. I wasn't happy with the size of some of the keys. The backspace is super tiny and the lack of the ctrl on the right side of the keyboard is sort of what ruined it for me. Also, the action of the keyboard...

X-Gene 01021

Extremely great value, especially for being a miniature keyboard. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to save desk space

Saves a lot of desk space, as intended ; solid key response ; unbeatable value ; integrated number pad is available if needed ; keyboard and keys feel sturdy

The enter key really needs to be larger/ better placed. After almost 3 months of using this keyboard I still have issues hitting the enter button because it is small and awkwardly placed

Keys don't work

Also, the Ctrl key is in the wrong place. I use shortcuts a lot but with this new keyboard I was always hitting the Fn instead.

Small

Right from when I purchased it, the space bar does not work. You have to bang on it before it registers a space. Same problem with several other keys. They are not light touch or quality at all

good compact keyboard

We have about a dozen of this model keyboard. Some XP computers tend to turn on number lock automatically, making this keyboard almost useless until you turn off number lock each time you boot the computer.

Has proper "feel", USB interface works well

Fn and Ctrl keys should be swapped, would prefer backslash to be between enter and backspace, but is in good enough position. Expensive for a simple keyboard

Great Small Keyboard

Very small footprint, great if you are using a small desk or workstation. I am typing the review on the lil guy. I use a N52 Nostromo for most my gaming needs, so this makes a nice little LAN party keyboard as well

The thing is loud when typing. Reminds me of the old days with a Trash80. The "Fn" is where the control key should be. When using Windows keyboard commands I am constantly hitting it. I am sure if I used it everyday I would get used to it. Those use to...

X-Gene 01021 Black 86 Normal Keys USB Wired Mini Keyboard

dont forget to get into bios and activate usb setting so you can use the keyboard before windows actually boots up.

small attractive works with no set up

could be cheaper i guess but so can everything else

nice lap keyboard

You'll have to get use to the strange key location on the right hand, compare the keyboard pic to your current keyboard before buying

its small; its nice once you get use to it

does not seem to work with xbox360; just swaped my dell keyboard to xbox and this to my gaming rig

Great keyboard!!

Has a good, quality feel to it...like a desktop keyboard not a laptop keyboard. Full size keys. Keyboard is smaller due to consolidating numeric keypad and other less used keys ; Works with Linux.... I bought this to use with my Eee PC running Linux....

A few keys are in odd places compared to a standard keyboard

Fantastic

I purchased this for simply setting up and administrating a small media server, I needed something cheap and compact as I eventually have to pack everything I have here up and take it with me, this is perfect if you need something compact and don't...

Inexpensive ; Lightweight ; Compact ; Media Keys ; Plug & Play ; Full size keys

Rubber dome switches ; Low profile keys (bad for touch typists) ; No Anti-Ghosting or NKRO (so far hasn't been an issue ; No number pad (its compact and has full size keys - something had to go)

solid

solid and heavy, quality feel instead of cheap light weight plastic

back space key is a little far from standard keyboard, just need to get used to it
