Dell XPS 13 review (2018): Still the best Windows laptop

Dell's latest XPS 13 doesn't stray from the line's high standards. It's fast, slim and sturdy. Sure, the company didn't change much, but it didn't really have to.

Still gorgeous thanks to the InfinityEdge screen ; A bit lighter and slimmer than before ; Supports external GPUs ; Display now supports HDR

You’ll pay for the 4K display in battery life ; No traditional USB ports or full-sized SD card reader

And it's officially hosted in Las Vegas.

Dell XPS 13 9370 review

Dell's XPS 13 is still the best 13-inch laptop you can buy.

Luxurious, modern look ; Great keyboard and touchpad ; Attractive display options ; Strong performance ; Long battery life with 1080p screen

More body flex than before ; Touchscreen isn’t standard

Dell’s new XPS 13 comes with a new design and new compromises

Dell finally redesigns its flagship laptop and makes some unfortunate changes along the way

Super compact design ; Great performance ; Comfortable keyboard and trackpad

Middling battery life ; Limited port selection ; Terrible webcam

If you can get over all of that (which, admittedly, is a lot), then the XPS 13 rewards with great performance, a lovely display, and an attractive, very portable package. Had Dell combined those features with the best of the prior generation — namely a...

Dell XPS 13 9370 (2018)

Dell's XPS 13 has remained our favorite consumer laptop for the past few years, thanks to its beautiful nearly borderless display, light weight and sleek aesthetic. Now, after multiple generations of sticking with the same chassis, Dell's premium...

Attractive design; Vibrant screen; Strong performance; Good battery life overall; Runs cool

No USB Type-A Ports; Improved webcam still looks up your nose

The Dell XPS 13 9370 offers strong performance, long battery life and a stunning screen in a chassis that's slimmer and more attractive than ever.

Dell XPS 13 9370 (i5-8250U, 4K UHD) Laptop Review

To InfinityEdge and beyond. Dell dauntlessly doubles down on its InfinityEdge design and the race for an even thinner Ultrabook. The end result is a noticeably smaller and more visually attractive offering that doesn't do much else significantly better...

measurably more CPU performance from Dynamic Power Policy ; smallest 13.3-inch notebook in terms of footprint ; attractive design; very high screen-to-body ratio ; very quiet under low-medium processing loads ; easy serviceability; upgradeable M.2 SSD...

display could have been better calibrated out of the box ; Transfer rates from Toshiba NVMe SSD can be unsteady ; very slow black-white and gray-gray response times ; no more USB Type-A ports and full-size SD reader ; awkward front-facing camera...

Is the XPS 13 9370 unequivocally better than the XPS 13 9360? It’s a step forward in a number of aspects while other areas of the series haven’t improved. Battery life, for example, is largely the same if not worse as are the keyboard keys, display...

2018 Dell XPS 13 9370 review: Is this the total package for those seeking portability and performance?

Over the past few years, it seems that PC makers are finally getting out from under the love affair many consumers had with Macs. PC's are now just as good if not better than what Apple is offering and the 2018 Dell XPS 13 9370 is a standout in that...

Small and sleek package ; Powerhouse performer ; Beautiful 4K display ; Nearly bezel free ; Great battery life ; Nice build materials

I/O options are limited to USB-C ; Camera is on the chin ; Some body flex

This little laptop is an amazing device with some muscle and a popping display. So back to our headline. Is this the total package for those seeking portability and performance? I would say the 2018 Dell XPS 13 9370 needs to be on your short list if...

Dell XPS 13 9370 (2018) review: A superb small-format laptop, with one drawback

This latest version of Dell's XPS 13 has some hard acts to follow, including the 2-in-1 version of the XPS 13 I reviewed last year -- which itself followed on from earlier iterations that had all impressed. It's hard to lead from the front, so what has...

Superb screen ; Extremely small and light ; 8th-generation Core processors ; Up to 1TB SSD

Awkwardly located webcam ; USB-C expansion only ; Expensive

Dell XPS 13 (2018) review: Sleeker, faster, better (mostly)

These days slim bezels are all the rage in smartphones and laptops alike. But Dell was ahead of the curve when the company updated its XPS 13 line of laptops a few years ago by offering models with incredibly slim top and side bezels.

Overall, the 2018 Dell XPS 13 is a pretty great laptop… with a few quirks and a rather high price tag.

XPS 13 2018 review: Dell’s improvements propel this laptop forward

The XPS 13 laptop isn't stale anymore, but it still forces a few compromises.

Updated, modern design. ; Can be configured to a 4K touchscreen. ; Windows Hello IR camera and fingerprint sensor. ; Thermal system keeps the device cool. ; Thunderbolt 3 ports support four-lane PCI connections. ; Solid performance.

No USB Type A ports. ; FHD display option is non-touch. ; Page Up/Down and arrow keys step on each others' toes. ; Fans can be noisy.

The XPS family is a highly praised one for a reason—it breeds laptops and convertibles with efficient yet attractive designs that house impressive internals that produce great performance. Dell didn't bother fixing what wasn't broken with the new XPS...
